That was a very nice shot of the cars driving into the hold. It's a great perspective on the size of these ships. Love your channel, STJ. Thanks for always posting:)
The window makes it so pleasant - I always feel so cut off from the world in an interior cabin! I'm looking forward to the onsen part of the trip. Being up to my neck in metaphorical hot water isn't an uncommon occurrence for me, so it would be nice to experience the much more soothing real thing for a change!
What a lovely voyage. Small detail but that whimsical curtain in your cabin really made it feel like home. I could have just laid there and watched the sea sail by 🏝
One of my favorite little cabins so far. Big enough, really nice window, has a sink, clean. Very nice, much better than a capsule. Dinner looked great, *big* pieces of chicken karaage, but I haven’t seen hamburger steak in a while. I’m sure that salad filled you up, too. Nice trip so far, I’m looking forward to part 2!
A wonderful ferry trip. I also loved your cabin, including the pretty curtain covering the window. Your dinner looked good. The beef reminded me of Yoshinoya , I would have added Soy Sauce. All in all, a very pleasant journey. See you in the next one. Take care, stay safe.
Thank you for this. It brings back memories: Summer of 1972 I was with my parents on a Japan trip. We took an Inland Sea side trip and stayed at the Okudogo hotel and onsen. It was beautiful! I remember seeing fireflies for the first time there.
Great trip, even though the island is connected by bridge, but there's overnight ferry between two islands for someone who needs it, especially driver who too tired driving but must be at destination on next day. Overall nice small room but not cramped like capsule room. And lastly, What a generous portions of dinner.
Ahhh im not going to be caught off guard this time my friend! My rice and tofu are almost done. 😋😋 love your videos. They do get me hungry without fail. Ready this time. 😄🍽🍱
That looked like an excellent cabin, Solo (although imho red is not a restful color for sleep)! I liked that the ferry hallways were wide. When you wondered if you'd gotten too much food for dinner, I laughed. I knew you'd be able to eat it all! I'm looking forward to your ryokan video.
I love your journeys. I would love to do that. Water was beautiful. Loved the grandeur of the lobby and how your room was decorated. Thank-you for taking us along.
Been playing lots of Zelda to relax, new game has me hooked. As a result have some catching up to do with my other relaxing before bed endeavor, your videos
Oh, good, an STJ video. The ferry ones are my favorites. The little room served it's purpose, although I would require a private toilet. Because I'm an older man and must use it a couple of times each night. I thought "That looks like too much rice!". But then I remembered I was watching STJ. There's no such thing as too much rice!
I love how you check out the beds😊 Solo San, I have watched other solo travelers but I truly enjoy yours the most. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
What a pleasant trip! It was especially nice to see a room that I was actually confident could be used by someone who needs a mobility aid (I need a rollator to get around).
As always, you're making me feel hungry! Good things I have rotisserie chicken on the way! Aaah I wish I knew a place that made gyudon... maybe I should try to make some?
I am really looking forward to your stay at Toyo. My old bones would love to have an onsen as I am sure the volcanic waters would be good for you. Really enjoy your travel shows, not sure I could handle a ferry trip though 😅 . Thank you 😊😊
Your photographic composition and texture were especially nice in this one. Keep up the good work! I like the amount of time spent on food so we can experience what you experience. More of how you use the ship would be nice too. I imagined you falling over the table and onto the chair in a food coma, Lol! Jarvis: "Power reserves at 120% capacity."
Just booked my hotel in Dogo Onsen the other day. Mostly travelling by bike to get there though, which is probably going to be considerably less comfortable... ;-;
I love Kaarage, thankfully I live in one of the few places on the East Coast of the United States you can get Authentic Japanese Food including a Kaarage rice bowl. Although they add a sweet sauce that is not that authentic.
I'd imagine that sink being in the room beside the desk is in case the person is uhh not used to boats if you get my meaning lol Otherwise, I do enjoy these ferry videos as you don't get many who do them on youtube
I always dream of travelling to Japan someday , but then remember I havent even visited the popular tourist spots in my country . Then I remember that I am at least 5 years away from getting a job and earning my own money. 😅

That cabin looked comfortable, but that carpet made me dizzy. The food looked good, and the ship peaceful. I am looking forward to part 2.
Time to relax and dream of another trip to Japan.
Ageed. At this point I'd love to spend two weeks in Japan just riding ocean ferries.
And also of learning Japanese
Me: *imagines taking a ferry in Japan*
My brain for absolutely no reason: *"SUNFLOWER, SUNFLOWER!"*
its cheap af just do it stop your woe is me attitude

You know it will be a pleasant morning when you turn on your phone and receive a STJ video notification.
Can't wait to see the on onsen episode 🙏
I'm glad your large rice was actually large this time. I'm looking forward to the onsen episode!

Your cabin was quite cozy.
Thank you. Looking forward to The Onsen.

10:35 I think I ordered too much….in my head “no, don’t be silly, I have every faith that you can conquer this trial 😂
15:24 the sound of the engines and the calm water is so soothing here.
Great way to start the weekend 🙂
A DELUXE cabin without a toilet!? Wow.
I felt your disappointment when curry turned out to be just a bath towel 😮😅
Thankyou for taking us with you 🤘🤩🤘

Another GREAT video! 🙂
When you shook the bag and chanted curry I laughed a lot, thank you for that, it was needed.
Can't wait for next episode. This looked like a very nice cabin and trip overall
Hey, I could live in that room! What a nice setup, and a window too! And what's that, a private onsen? Ohoho, can't wait!

It was great. I love it as always.👍👍👍😍😍😍
Excellent as always! 👏👏👌
Nice trip, good food and a comfy cabin, just perfect. Looking forward to part 2. Take care 😊
Хороший паром, уютная каюта, вкусная еда, чистота - что еще нужно для комфортного путешествия? Спасибо за видео!
Another awesome video. Looking forward to part 2
The crunch from the chicken karaage was impressive!
Thank you for always posting your adventures! I look forward to seeing more!
I love when a new video pops up..thank you 😊
I love your videos. A friend and I planned part of our trip around one of the ferries because of your video. It was a great experience.
Cute cabin, great view.
Such a tranquil video.
Can't wait for what's next.
You are really funny ... and incredible, that you finished the hole meal !
14:39 That's a brilliant idea!
I love your journeys. I would love to do that. Water was beautiful. Loved the grandeur of the lobby and how your room was decorated. Thank-you for taking us along.
love the shot of the 'tv lounge'...quite a small tv for a lounge ^_^. I love your video's, I always enjoy watching :)
I miss the old videos where 120% satisified is followed up by a second helping or dessert. :)
That cabin looked very comfortable! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip!
Looking forward to seeing the Ryokan!

I am the same, prefer a toilet in the room. I also have to get up a lot during the night.
I love how you check out the beds😊 Solo San, I have watched other solo travelers but I truly enjoy yours the most. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I really do enjoy these trips - that was a lot to eat but looked tasty. Thank you 😊
Watching this the night before going on a trip, getting pretty excited hehe
Wish we had overnight ferries here though
Thank you for making this excellent video.
Nice trip,delicious food
You could hear the karaage! Must have been good. :)
That was a cool cabin 😎
I heard the Karaage! Nice!
I was starting to wonder where you were! Nice trip and yummy food. Looking forward to Part 2.
In Japan, you have a lot of variety of coaches and ferries! It's incredible. For every taste. 😄
What a pleasant trip! It was especially nice to see a room that I was actually confident could be used by someone who needs a mobility aid (I need a rollator to get around).
Beautiful video! Thank you!

Pretty good and affordable ferry and the food is good too, I like it.
"modern ryokan" sounds like a contradiction at first, I'm looking forward to seeing the inn and the onsen. :)
I look forward to watching the onsen video. I think I visited there in 1996.
Thank you for the video
The curtains are pretty in your room.
I LOVE these videos!
Exciting ❤
I hope you'll be able to ride the Pikachu train! I'd love to see it on this channel! :)

Very nice❤😊
chicken and beef looked good.
Because tourism has returned, there are fewer hotel deals. Overnight ferries are still a bargain. Thanks, STJ!
japan tourism needs to hire you its that simple
Solo Travel Japan..Thanks Much !.......
Saw the Gyudon and the extra rice for the Karage, got scared for you.
Dang there were no people waving on departure
👏🤩💕 But no curry, bad luck 🥺
Just booked my hotel in Dogo Onsen the other day. Mostly travelling by bike to get there though, which is probably going to be considerably less comfortable... ;-;
How about a crispy curry? I'm asking the curry connoisseur...✌🤟🍜
Humidifier? The ocean isn’t wet enough?
Is your home in Osaka? It seems like you start your trips there, a lot.
👌👍from Kerala God's own country. India
Nice ship. Can you swim?

Where u been. I've missed ya
..Anyone else initially misread this as 'Doggo Onsen'? :-)
❤❤❤❤
Nice trip! But no Curry! 😭
I always dream of travelling to Japan someday , but then remember I havent even visited the popular tourist spots in my country . Then I remember that I am at least 5 years away from getting a job and earning my own money. 😅
„I can’t eat anymore“ - wait where is the ice cream after dinner? 😊
Did the ferry have a store?
Nice!!!
Question: is there also the "opposite route"? I mean from Fukuoka (Hakata o Shinmoji) to Ehime (by ferry)???
Matsuyama Kokura Ferry.
I took it last year. “Spending a Night on the Japanese Forgotten Ferry”
