Really dig these bite sized lessons - I always leave with something cool I can practice. Subbed.
    Cheers!

Are those sticks flexible? Like some kind of rubber on the striking end?

Yeah they're made of plastic so do have some flex to them. They're a plastic version of the "hotrods" which are made from wood, these ones are called "blasticks". I'm sure they have lots of different names but that's how I know them. The flex in them can actually be a bit annoying, but they're cool for low volume practice and are super durable. The wooden hotrods feel a lot more like a stick and feel better in my opinion, however they break pretty quickly and are expensive! I keep a pair of each on hand so I can play the plastic ones when I'm banging away and the wooden ones for more "serious" practice. Anyway, there's your novel of an answer to a very straightforward question! Haha

@@5-minutedrumlessons Thanks man. Also, thanks for all the content, it's been really useful, as a new player it's great to see stuff broken down into digestible chunks. So many drum videos are very involved and not a lot people really break down the concepts of things very well. But I find your videos to be a really refreshing addition to the "drum instruction video zeitgeist".

@@PilafIsACookingMethod hahaha I love the drum instructional zeitgeist bit. But that's great man, if the videos are helping you out that's what it's all about. If you have any specific questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer or make a video about it!

@@5-minutedrumlessons I see you have a Moeller Method video from about a year ago...But I assume that's for matched grip...You play any traditional grip, specifically Moeller in traditional grip?

@@PilafIsACookingMethod Yes, you're correct about it being a match grip video. I do play a little traditional, definitely not to the same level, but the approach to the technique is theoretically the same, try to get one note on the way down and one (or more) on the way up. I'll do a little video discussing it! Like I said though it's not my main thing. There's one guy on youtube I think his name is Quincy Davis, he does a lot of higher level jazz stuff and plays traditional, if you can find him talking about Moeller I bet he has some good insights. Another BEAST is John Wooton, he's traditional and has the vic firth series rudiment videos that absolutely crush. If you can find him talking traditional Moeller that would be the way to go!
