    Brings back such good memories, my pb was a 7.2kg Tiger we also caught some big Chesa, Kurper, Bottlenose and one Nembwe. My uncle caught a massive Cornish Jack. Caught a electric Catfish as well :)

    Been on the river. Although 30 years ago. 3 x. And mowed the tigers.
    But. Although only just. Stopped short of the 5kg club.
    Bottle nose was special.
    Take the memory snapshots to heaven!

    Just a friendly tip. Always keep your landing net hidden from the fish till you're ready to scoop him up. 😊

      @castingwithconnor4296 10 месяцев назад +1

      No squeaker slightly different fish, squeaker has a small downward facing mouth there normally brownish in color but Varys silver barbel has a big forward facing mouth shiny silver skin hence the name silver barbel

    You guys handle the tiger shit bud.... I've fished the Zambezi since 1970....you can put them back gently

      And risk your hand getting bitten off by a crocodile 😂 no thanks, there are way more crocodiles now than in 1970 due to releases from croc farms.

      I visit lower zam quite a lot. Almost every month there is a villager killed by a croc.
      Tigers die when the angler fights the fish for too long. This is due to lactic acid build up in their muscles.
      So many people just take the tigers out and chow them(no matter the size). Always good to see them being put back.
