Rode this trail mid August. Loved it, except the bugs were brutal. Got a flat, and now converted to tubeless. Moved from Ontario last year similar to yourself. Live in Kelowna. So much great riding close by.
Finally finished binging all the vids. Most clear / sharp vids I've seen! BCPOV, LoamRanger.. Meh.. But some thoughts. * We are all getting to know your riding peeps, but naming them by voice in the beginning or having their name typed in the vid would be great. Like a cast of characters. * We know you ride Norco, but you seem to have every model. Are you sponsored? How come so many Norcos? And you need to do a bike check vid. * You have an amazing voice for videos. It's crisp and clear. You give just enough commentary. Don't put background music in.. We as riders ourselves would rather listen to the soft skid of the rear tire in loam or gripping a tree anyday! * You Dad has amazing slow tech skills. And that's at any age, not just his. * Your positive attitude is great. You never seem flustered and deal with situation like when you race amazing well. * Keep moving forward. We all love where you ride and we can't. Lord of the Squirrels and your Secret Loamer vids are our way of going places, but without the risk of crashing in the steeps Great work!
Haha awesome, thanks for the support! I always appreciate detailed comments like these, I'll do my best to answer some of them... Naming who I'm following is something I can certainly do in the future. I don't want to add unnecessary text overlays, so it will take some time to reflect on the uploads (as uploads are often filmed well in advance). I'm actually one of the design engineers at Norco. I've tried to keep my work and RUclips hobby somewhat separated. 9point8 remains the sole sponsor of this channel, though the perks of my day job definitely show up here! Background music in most videos is certainly not in the plans, don't worry haha. Absolutely agreed that my dad is an amazing tech rider. I have an idea in the works that will show some of his skills off a bit better. Maybe a winter upload if I can get around to scripting/storyboarding it...
@@DaleStone You have a great, elite status rider channel. Keep it pure like it is. We all want to keep riding along with yea through the new trails, the races, and the solo chill rides. It's seriously unique! Norco engineer! I knew it was something upper educated because your come through in your vids as very educated and articulate, crisp and precise. Great job!!
Another sweet video - just excellent. I've had to miss this summer's BC trips because of the whole COVID thing and its great to get a vicarious fix whenever you post. I love your taste in trails - many of your previous vids are now on my tick-list. I dunno if you are still up there, but did you finish on Ultimate Frisby? - its one of my all time fave rides. Keep up the great work!
Glad to hear it, all the better for next year's trip! We absolutely finished on Ultimate Frisby this day. It was a total dust bowl; super fun. That video will make its way out this fall I'm sure!
Love these early Sunday posts. Sunday routine - get up, egg and toast, crack open a Mountain Dew, watch your video, shower, go to church. Repeat next Sunday.
The climb up Frisby itself took us around an hour and a half. We opted to make it a big loop from the city so the total climb was more like 4 hours with breaks.
We rode this a few months ago, was so foggy you couldn’t even see 20ft. Nice to catch the views 😂

We must have just missed them, as it was mostly bug free when this was filmed at the end of August haha. Such an awesome backyard to have!
On the week we should have been over in BC, it’s nice to know the weather/trails are dry. 😖 .
Great video all the same.
If you're talking about now it's best you aren't here. Worst air on the entire planet! 😷
Dale Stone fair point forgot about the fires. Still you have to wear a mask for every thing else these days 😂

Its not a bad thing but i watched it yesterday and fall asleep :) The tire and gravel sound was so relaxing :)
Now that looks like a great eMTB trail
Sadly e-bikes are not allowed here.
@@DaleStone That has never stopped me
great trail, thats what I wish I had here in newfoundland
I've heard Newfoundland has lots of slow speed super-tech, so I'm jealous too!
Headed there tomorrow
Riding Ymir

I'm very much a fan of this plan.
Incredible looking trail. Just stunning. It seems to keep going forever! How long was the pedal up you mentioned to get to the start of the trail?

Here before you’re famous
Watching your videos makes me want to get a silent hub so bad haha.
Easily one of my favourite parts!
Do it. Highly recommend.
Did you forget your HRM?
Nope! Just didn't feel like the cruise-y vacation pace needed the overlay haha. Much lower than try-hard mode.
Grease that bike
Added weight? Pass.
