Don’t be a Victim of PACT Act Scams

It is indeed unfortunate that there are unscrupulous individuals who will try to steal from Veterans who have honorably served their country. The passage of last year’s PACT Act put disability benefits in closer reach for as many as five million Veterans sickened by exposure to toxic materials during their military service in the Gulf War, post 9/11, and Vietnam War eras.
Crooks are trying taking advantage of the new PACT Act opportunities and defraud unsuspecting Veterans by siphoning off their benefits or submitting claims on their behalf. The VA and consumer protection agencies report there has been a sharp increase in phone, email, and social media scams since the passage of the Act.
