It’s... sad is beautiful at the same time We can play sadistic and kill him directly, but it won’t bring us anything, the game knows it This game represents life well; a voice in our head, dissatisfying us with things, we follow it, times we do not follow it, we advance, we make mistakes, we advance, we evolve, then we die, then all this reset It’s sad and beautiful C'est... triste est beau à la fois On peux la jouez sadique et le tuer directe, mais ça ne nous apportera rien, le jeu le sait Ce jeu représente bien la vie; une voix dans notre tête, nous dissant des choses, on la suit, des foix on ne la suit pas, on avance, on fait des erreurs, on avance, on évolu, puis on meurt, puis tout ce reset C'est triste, et beau
This reminds me of that one flash game as a kid, where you could neat him up or throw him around or whatever you wanted. I think it was called Interactive Buddy or 8 Bit Buddy

I think I'm going to go cry again. or go to sleep, idk man. RIP Baber, god rest ye mighty soul.. or whatever they may say.
If it make you better, you're not alone. Having a rough week rn by dealing with burnout and episodic depression at the same time, and baber just shattered the mental glass. We only interacted with them for like ¼ min yet the bond is almost the same as at least a year, especially when they absolutely counted every second and appreciated every moment we spent even tho it's still a short list and baber couldn't get a chance to have a second holiday. When they started to speak really slow it really hurts a lot. At least baber didn't die with fear like the first time we met them with such an anxious look and immediate warning & begging without proper introduction
Heart touching and same time bit disturbing experience. Remind me old-as-internets web-"game" where you shoot some guy and he is permanentley dead. Each time when player reset flash-"game" -it just shows field with grass and words "What's done is done". So basically BitBuddy sort of fruther development of concept of sort of perma-things. Nice experience. It's really cool and yeah, depressing and somehow touching game.
If you killed your buddy you can get him back by deleting the folders in app data and in your registry. Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Funtech Appdata: %appdata% /locallow/Funtech
You know, I think people wanna kill him because of that reused bit sound that plays in other of his games. If BitBuddy had a Boston accent, saying: "Hey missah', don' hit that quit button or I die, y'hear?" I don't think a lot of people would go against his word.
this game is like monika, she says that she sees colorful screaming void if you don't warn her before leaving (after story mode) monika in the og game she sees all black and a void, nothing else, but you can't leave because you can't warn her, which makes the game semi unquitable (word made by me) if you have mercy for monika
There is a game/desktop pet that works the same way. Alienmelon's runonce. Essentially the same concept; a little buddy on the screen who will be permanently dead if you close the program. Difference is that they walk around the screen, have recorded voice lines, and sometimes saves a couple of pictures to the desktop.

There will be someone who plays this and genuinely gets emotionally attached to this and keeps the game running for days and days just for their power to shut off briefly while they're asleep. They'll wake up and see the computer screen black. You then hear a muffled gunshot quickly followed by a heavy slam. This is going to happen. It will and it has to.

You can actually see tears in his eyes at 0:52
I really hoped that at the end bitbuddy would open his eyes, realizing that while he dies when the game closes, he CAN ONLY die through closing the game, thus, he will be forced to live forever as long as the game never closes, even as his body rot, his spirit diminishes and his consciousness nothing different than a potato
HE WILL NOT DIE
Somewhere out there, hes now in the better place in heaven...
May your soul rest in peace, Baber 🕊️🕯️
Is there an actual paid version of this game or is that just part of the in-game story?
there isn't, at the very least not yet
I thought this was gonna be a metaphor for abusive relationships.
It isn't tho'?
@@oscarjimenezgarrido7591 he means the abuse would come from BitBuddy's side
@@igorigor3960
How'd you know? He never specified it.
I think if anyone DOES want a buddy game on abusive relationships, Buddy Simulator 1984 is great if you haven't already seen it
It’s... sad is beautiful at the same time
We can play sadistic and kill him directly, but it won’t bring us anything, the game knows it
This game represents life well; a voice in our head, dissatisfying us with things, we follow it, times we do not follow it, we advance, we make mistakes, we advance, we evolve, then we die, then all this reset
It’s sad and beautiful
This is like a simplified version of the "boss battle" with Monika on *Doki Doki Literature Club*
Yeah, this definitely reminded me of Monika.
Also a bit of Undertale around lol
I love how if you seemingly do good, it just gets more depressing and ends up being worse. Punished for trying. Love it
This reminds me of that one flash game as a kid, where you could neat him up or throw him around or whatever you wanted. I think it was called Interactive Buddy or 8 Bit Buddy
The first and the second ones have not had their own holidays, and they never will :(
That's how feels "empty" it's just virtual, imagine we are a lonely entity in a whole universe
Gawain “Is this all there is?”
Green Knight: “What else ought there be?"
The end, watching a aber slowly die, it just feels…sad.

As a person who suffer a lot from existencial crisis every once in a while this is not the best thing I could have watched
Aw... it was sucha short moment, but for him it was his entire life with you... at least he enjoyed the time you both spent together
2:05 I feel bad but I just can’t help but laugh at this part
Much dedication, thanks ABG! (Did you wait 24hrs, or did you change the time?)
The ending reminded me of my grandmother's death.
Love the background on your desktop ABG
BitBuddy: “Please use the clear button. I will die.”
Alpha: “I missed the part where that’s my problem.”
Not gonna lie, i literally cried in the boat part.. i imagine if it could happen in real life.. it could be a kind of sad lmao....
wtf happened to it at the end, became all white and shit its pants
@@Rilex037 lmfao
Literally just watched this after having a mental breakdown and lemme tell you..
.. *I'm not feeling very fine and dandy rn*
I mean, it's a good game but christ all-mighty am I regretting watching it right now..
I think I'm going to go cry again. or go to sleep, idk man.
RIP Baber, god rest ye mighty soul.. or whatever they may say.
i think you should search for cats and dogs video, especially Husky
Hope your feeling better now king
Daniel Mullins really never misses does he
How quickly this turns from pity to torture.
So apathetic at the start, by the end I’m balling my eyes out over some pixels 😭
If you killed your buddy you can get him back by deleting the folders in app data and in your registry.
Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Funtech
Appdata: %appdata% /locallow/Funtech
System 32
Thankyou
If only I could get him to remember the past so it causes more dread and feelings of doom
You know, I think people wanna kill him because of that reused bit sound that plays in other of his games. If BitBuddy had a Boston accent, saying: "Hey missah', don' hit that quit button or I die, y'hear?" I don't think a lot of people would go against his word.
get the TF2 scout voice on it, and watch as the people that got laughed at by lime scouts instantly kill him from PTSD
@@TheOneWhoHasABadName lol
this game is like monika, she says that she sees colorful screaming void if you don't warn her before leaving (after story mode)
monika in the og game she sees all black and a void, nothing else, but you can't leave because you can't warn her, which makes the game semi unquitable (word made by me) if you have mercy for monika
"I would be happy to die he"-CLICK
Brutal
such an interesting concept. love it.
that "we should continue living" makes me cried a lot :(
Imagine sometime in the future if science and technology finds a way to program consciousness and awareness into a computer. Then it’d be possible for someone to actually make a real person suffer in this way.
Hmmm... Real individual, perhaps. "Person" is by definition "an individual human," so a synthetic individual wouldn't be a "person."
@@giin97 Personhood is not as simple as that, both linguistically and philosophically. There are implications with massive consequences if we manage to create a sapient autonomous being, it doesn’t matter what body structure it takes.
@@Pleasestoptalkingthanks just going by the dictionary definition :P
What is one life compared to the vast amount of knowledge that can be gained
Not sure it's even possible.
The ending literally made me cry
Moral of the story: if you spend all your life thinking about death, you strip it off it's meaning.
Thanks. My tamagotchi wasn't psychologically scarring enough.
Ok this just brought up so many emotions in me... Almost got me crying at the last part
I just love how you click more aggressively every time he denies your food.
I do not miss these tamagotchi things, this is exactly what they were like
was he crying at the end when he was looking down/squinting his eyes? or was that just like the pixelated shading?
What happens if you attempt to feed it while it begins aging?
Good question. Let me check the invisible database.
It must feel so horrible to know that in any moment or another you will die, especially since there isn't much you can do before your "owner" quits, your worst fear, so that you do whatever you have in mind and the trial allows you.
It's just a painful and shocking way to live
BitBuddy:im not hungry.
Alpha beta gamer: *SPAMS FEED BUTTON CUTELY*
There will be someone who plays this and genuinely gets emotionally attached to this and keeps the game running for days and days just for their power to shut off briefly while they're asleep. They'll wake up and see the computer screen black. You then hear a muffled gunshot quickly followed by a heavy slam. This is going to happen. It will and it has to.
0:47 you have a nice pc wallpaper :)
