Amazing interview with a bb legend. He played a great game. He wasn't nominated for the block in a season with battle of the block twist. He insulated himself perfectly. He gets a lot of hate from fans and even death threats. Wtf is wrong with people? Hes a great guy who loves his family above anything else. Im very surprised to hear that he would play again after all the bullshit he had to deal with. Hopefully they do a shortened season so we could see him play again.
Data driven on the best duo discussion is one thing, but winning comps isn't the only parameter that should be considered. Danielle and Jason were the blueprint for ALL BB duos and their behind-the-curtain strategies were amazing! 😊

I'm in DC and my best friend is in Chicago and we watch BB together every season and we talk to each other over Facebook. It's so much fun that way! And PS Derrick is one of my favorite all time players!
Excellent interview! A new BB fan here. Started with BB24 after hearing about Taylor’s treatment. Watched more seasons after watching Derrick & Cody’s live the night Taylor won w/Xavier. That led me to watch BB23. And b/c I love how pragmatic I saw that Derrick was/is, I then watched BB16, and then BB22. Derrick’s game play was beautifully surgical. Derrick, Xavier & Cody are my template for great BB players - pragmatic, strategic, calm & likable. And I’ve heard Derrick say this many times on The Winner’s Circle, and I live my life by it, people remember how you make them feel. An important point to note for any person playing the BB game. On BB25, Cirie understands that & does it. Now her unenlightened son 😉 may be her downfall. Time will tell… Thx again.
While I do think Derrick is overhated I see a lot of why people don’t like him. He’s extremely calculated and his answers around Nicole and the bb22 controversies were extremely vague and all over the place. I think that’s largely to do with the fact that he was wrong in the Nicole situation. The point about pregaming is so true and I think it’s hypocritical to be cancelling the all stars 2 cast for something that all shows with returning players as well as All Stars 1 casts did aswell. Was hoping for a more detailed explanation of the Nicole situation to give him the benefit of the doubt but this just further confirms he was in the wrong.
Season 16 is the season to watch especially if your getting into. Fate brought big brother to my attention exactly when I got into big brother. So 16 was my first and the reason why I kept watching from that season on and even watched the first 3 seasons and even applied to be on the show. Derrick played a flawless game so I don't see him playing again and he shouldnt.
Derrick can really only play again in a few scenarios, otherwise he's immediately targeted. There need to be a significant count of returnees, and these returnees need to have obvious pre-game alliances that Derrick is obviously not a part of. He needs bigger targets, and the only way for their to be bigger targets is if other returnees come in with unbreakable allies. If he has a path to survive, than who knows?

Whenever he felt like a Zach or a Frankie would have a independent thought or game move he'll throw a tantrum to Cody and say they taking food away from his daughter. Bb16 it was Derrick and a bunch of kids, Donny was the only one who caught on to Derrick game but he didn't have any numbers to do anything about it.
Derrick is too scared to play again lol he doesn’t have the skillset Dan or will (or even Cody) has to make it far on a second attempt and he knows it which is why whenever he’s asked if he’ll play again he talks in circles for ten minutes lol
yep!!!! i think he wants people to think he is a great player and he is scared to play again and be taken out early and be seen as a fraud. he isn't athletic or wins many comps he just had a bunch of dumb jocks following his orders, and that won't happen again.

Well I’m not gonna read the comments but I really think Derrick is smart to not just come back, esp the way everyone run their mouth about him, and I love the idea of going w/his daughter and going out to save her. That would be awesome.
I believe Cody is overrated. If Cirie outclassed him to an early exit in Traitors, it speaks volumes to how competitions weigh too much in a social experiment. Cody is a good player. But I don't believe he's as good as his buddy Derrick portrays.
But Big Brother is a slow burn game and The Traitors and survivor are back to back competitions and vote offs, which Cirie is obviously more used to. Cody mentioned the mental tole that the nonstop action of traitors had on him on his podcast.

Enzo & him are from New Jersey, Memphis & Tyler were runner ups like Cody, & Nicole played with him on BB 16. Ian proved why he is the luckiest winner in BB history. He thought he could lay low like before and get lucky at the end. A great social & strategic game is how well you play when you’re in trouble & surrounded by cut throats. We didn’t see this for Cody until he played on Traitors.
I wonder how the other players are ultimately going to feel after finding out they were basically duped by two people being so close to each other, or will they be impressed with the fact Jared and Cerie pulled it off (if they do all season)?
Big Brother needs to become like the NBA. The tradition of the game produces greater returning players, that way fans and production are not relying on Dan & Darrick to return. Big Brother 22 was one of the worst seasons ever.

HE started & RAN the K9 division within the PD he worked at (someone with ZERO K9 experience or real knowledge of K9's) & completely oversaw/was in charge of all the dispatchers.. while still doing all his regular duties. Ex. he went on & on about Luminal (hemoglobin detection spray) & how it WILL GLOW for YEARS. He even gave an example of this. Low & behold, the 1st thing that popped up was this example/experiment! *BUT*… it said the blood on soil that was buried for 5 years was still detectable with the use of Luminal - NOT that the Luminal was still glowing after 5 yrs like he tried to convince the listeners of. That was the last straw & I unsubscribed. So whether it’s LE or BB, he THINKS he has all the answers & knows best. His overinflated ego has created the haters he has & the more he talks, the more haters he gets - all from the lies, not jealousy.
They do matter. First of all, in bug brother 10, Dan had a very nice late-game comp streak where either him or his allies won them, and there were certain moments where he needed to win comps. As for Dr. Will, big brother 2 was a different game where comps mattered way less and there were less benefits to winning them.
LMAO give the other returnees a little credit. they ALL talk. "fairly" this game isn't a game of fairness period. Youre just letting your feelings get the best of you.
@@desmondcoppin591 watch again. you can see that the ones that are still moving are the ones not to step on. watch and pay attention to the details. it cuts to commercial and he can see which ones not to go on because they are the unstable pegs to step on and then he just runs across because he can confidently know which way to go from the previous person that fell

CBS can have a all winners season with only 14-16 players and by now they can put 14 winners in a house.
