    The true testament to Cody's game is not the comp wins but the social-strategic aspect. Listening to this interview, is like listening to a summary of the whole season- because he was involved in every move, every week whether he was the HOH or not and that's why the video is so long- unlike Nicole's review which is good too but not as in-depth because she's more of a supporting character that didn't have as much involvement in the early to mid game. Cody played a nuanced game and watching him maneuver through every situation, knowing when to act and when to take a step back was truly masterful and as a viewer, I appreciated it. Good job Taran!

    I take a lot of issues with the way Big Brother is now, as both a game and a television show, but none of those change what Cody did this season, and what he did was play the game in front of him to near perfection.

    I love how you’ve locked down some of these interviews so swiftly and diving in without a lot of time and space in between the show ending! I feel like they have a fresh perspective that is more raw then having too much time and forgetting details and how they truly felt in those moments! Kudos to Taran for always giving a solid interview and rundown and the players for investing their time to give us the content we love to see and hear 🤩

    I love Taran's mind for this game. He's the only one revealing game information to the house guests. Everyone else asks about the obvious things -- things that everyone was/has talked to death about. When Cody said something about wishing he knew how many comps his alliance won during season 16, Taran was right on top of it and in 30 seconds he said 93%. When I think about how organized he must have everything BB...it's impressive. I hope Cody adjusts to being home soon -- he looks really tired. Coming out of that house is hard, but the pressure of having that money has to be weighing on him. Until he decides what he's doing with it and he does it, his thoughts are going to be consumed by it.

    Cody was my pick in the beginning! I always thought he was an underrated player in BB16. His season was one of my favorite seasons. I think people don’t give him enough credit, he played a great game. He’s a lot smarter than what people give him credit for. Congratulations Cody, you deserved it!

    I enjoyed the season and the interactions of game play the were done. Perhaps subtle but great regardless, in my opinion. It was a multifaceted endeavor and as such brilliant as a diamond. Lasting. So the ones that are perhaps looking more superficially may think it was boring. Looking for fireworks. Nothing working with fireworks but I enjoyed the deeper lasting brilliance. That is for the show. I am so please Cody won, i was on a thread wondering if Nicole or Enzo would keep him. He needed to win and he did. I would say 16 and 22 are in the top for favorite seasons for me. WELL DONE>

    Cody is one of the all time greats. People who said he rode Derek's coat tails have to eat crow. If he didn't chose loyalty over winning the game the first time, he would be the only 2 time champ. He is in the pantheon with Will, Derek, and Dan.

      I agree with you. It's funny how despite proving himself, the people who said that about him are STILL saying it and using a completely nonsensical excuse in that Derrick planned and laid out the whole season for him! Aside from the fact that Derrick wasn't in the house and the fact that the whole pregame alliance zoom call nonsense has been completely debunked, all you need is to watch this interview and it's clear that he knew what he was doing- he explains his OWN thought process every step of the way!

    I think Cody played a great game. However, he did play before. He was good in BB16 & obviously learned a lot from that experience & since. I think that winners who played all time great games their first go around puts them above Cody on the best players to ever play BB list. That being the likes of Dr. Will, Dan. • @jayem5954
      @jayem5954 3 года назад +7

      @@20YearSoul Cody had a double agent in Enzo too. Tyler played a great game his first season and still made it to final 6 playing at 50% of his abilities, cause let’s face it he didn’t want to be there. So I wouldn’t call it a fluke. Ppl also underestimated Cody in this cast whereas everyone thought Tyler was playing his BB20 game and always had their eyes on him.

    • @persephonespomegranate
      @persephonespomegranate 3 года назад +3

      I liked both of your comments because I see both sides of this debate!
      I definitely think Cody is one of the greats now but I can’t take Tyler down a peg on the pantheon (even though he deserves it after his showing this season) because he clearly was not playing to his full ability. 50% is probably about right.
      Don’t know the guy, obviously, and it’s really none of our business but it seems like he’s battling some pretty big inner demons. That is not a time you want to go into the house.
      I imagine you have to have your head screwed on straight, know who you are and be comfortable with yourself (faults & all) to win in an all-star season vs a season of newbies. And you certainly need that to deal with the toxic aspects of the fanbase once the season ends (and in Tyler’s case, deal with his own missteps that caused hurt to others).
      But instinctively, he knows what he has to do in the game as well as any of the upper echelon players, he’s just built it up in his head to be a bad thing - like he can’t separate gameplay from the kind of person you are outside of the game. Without the ability to separate, you can never be up at the very top with Dan, Will, Derrick (and in my personal pantheon, Danielle Reyes). And maybe now Cody. Debatable, of course.

    • @jayem5954
      @jayem5954 3 года назад +3

      @@persephonespomegranate true. Also, Tyler always seemed to feel that his strategy in Bb20 lost him the game, so he didn’t want to make a bunch of final 2’s this time. He should have listened to Taran about what his strengths were instead of listening to haters who told him that he deserved to lose because of all of the deals he made and cut at the end. Everyone else was trying to play hard like he did in bb20 with Cody being the only one that was successful. So yeah this, mixed with his heart not being completely in it led to his downfall.

      As Cody pointed out in this review, if Janelle/Kaysar won an early HoH followed by a Tyler win, it would’ve changed his game a lot. If Enzo would’ve pushed Xmas to 🎯 Dani on her HoH instead of Bayleigh, Tyler (and Enzo) would’ve gained more control. Nicole was carried by Cody. He strategically took out all her other number 1’s and forced her to work with him only. I’ll give credit to Nicole for getting Janelle out pre-jury and getting Xmas to give Ian safety (because he was the original 🎯 during the 1st Memphis HoH), but she was forced to play Cody’s game and had to play over her head on comps to win the season. That’s not a good recipe to win on most seasons.
