Feel like the Japanese comebacks sometimes don't have the same budget put into them but Kura Kura was top notch. Yes, Sixteen broke my heart. Jihyo went through so much as did all the other girls. It was very sad to watch but I'm glad for all their success!
Of all the reaction videos for TWICE, i really love your reactions, it is very genuine and honest. The girls really work very hard to debut. They may seem all bubbly and hyper in front of the camera, but they take their professions very seriously. I'm glad that after their hard works throughout the years, it really paid off. I have had been following TWICE since SIXTEEN, and tbh, it hard for me to re-watch SIXTEEN (the girls said in their previous vlive that they don't want to go through SIXTEEN again also).
The rap line killed it on Breakthrough, it's definitely in top favorite moments for those two. This song is super catchy and I feel like this was their first mature concept over in Japan. They did have a "lul" in their Japanese MVs concept wise for a period BUT their first chunk of their releases in Japan did have some high concept MVs just wait for BDZ 👀 it's a whole damn movie that makes no sense but since it's Twice you can't help but I love it

I watched 16 not really knowing the members and it's true it was tortured never bring myself to watch it again but i fell inlove with them even more because of the show

i completely agree with everything you guys said. As a die hard fan of TWICE since the beginning of 2020, I still haven't brought myself to watch Sixteen in its entirety. I've seen enough clips on yt to know how the girls were treated and it completely broke my heart. Like you guys said, i get that its all for show and entertainment but like that clip of the photographer straight up fat-shaming jihyo was absolutely disgusting to see. Im glad that the girls are happy and healthy for the most part these days cos they truly worked their asses off to get where they are today.
As a final note i just wanted to say I really enjoy you reactions. It's so nice to see people genuinely enjoying and respecting all the hard work the girls put into their music and content. I'll be looking forward to see more!
I'm Soo glad they made it through all the tough days of training and the tv show, they have turned into one of my favorite groups and they deserve the world and more

Can't wait for your reaction to Happy Happy, the MV was released at the same time as Breakthrough and filmed at the same time using the same sets. They are the night & day version of Twice.
Sixteen may seem harsh, firstly due to the editing, and secondly, Kpop industry was harsh then (but nothing compared to the early days where many trainees / new idols had been ill-treated / beaten by owners & managers) , now is much better. The dorm that the minor went to are actually what the bigger company's' trainees use (the poo may have been added by the TV crew), those from smaller companies get worse living quarters.
If you really cannot bear to watch, maybe just skip to the last episode where they announce the lineup.

The next Japanese songs after Breakthrough would be like a cute concept again. As they only made more mature concept after 2019. But all of their songs are good so no problem.
Never watched Sixteen, but wow, I was shocked about the things you said they did to them!
I've imagined that things were harsh for them because of the kpop industry (the members said once that when they were treinees and had weekly weight check ups, sometimes they literally ate ice instead of food to maintain their weight) but didn't know about the all the things they went on purpose through the reality show...
Anyway, great reaction as always, Breakthrough is one of my favourites japanese songs, and I agree with you, their japan releases feel different.

I dont know how much you can blame jype for sixteen. Alot of Mnets shows are like this, I dont really understand why. I dont think anyone is more likely to watch these shows because they are cruel to the participants. I would still recommend to finish it, to understand a small portion of the hardship they went through. Even normal trainee life can be tough for these kids.
I agree they're straight up cruel to them on Sixteen! All these kpop idols go through so much to get were they are, and yet people have the nerve to call some "untalented" 🙄
Breakthough is such an inspiration, brings a tiny tear in my eye everytime 🥲
It's usually untalented people that cast judgement on talented people with initiative
i would say the show is definetly worth it, but i agree that at some instances makes you think that is fucked up. my humble opinion you should watch it till the end.

I watched half 15+1 and agreed that it's hard to watch. The members feel the same way about the show, they always avoided or never wanted to talk about it and I definitely feel like that show traumatized all of them and affected their confidence at some point. And it's sad, imagine what they went through being from one of the top companies and what others would have been treated like in companies that have less money or recognition in the industry. I just hope that this get better for future generations of idols, I'm just waiting Tzuyu to be CEO of JYPE and take control. Btw after 15+1, even if you don't finish it you should watch the RUclips documentary Seize The Light (2020) they talk about their trainee days, their motivation and dreams, etc really interesting and emotional and without all that crap from 15+1 (they talk about Mina's hiatus too).
I plan on watching seize the light, I've already watched the first two episodes... It gets emotional, but in a completely different way
I will work for Tzuyu if she accepts me, for free and I wll be super hardworking too, and I meant it.
Sixteen is rough to watch in hindsight, but seeing like their performances is worthwhile. But the standout moment is the last episode.

I tried getting into that group because I like a lot of Japanese groups and a lot of jyp artists, and I like when groups are formed from tv shows... But I've listened to a few of their songs and they didn't do much for me... I think they are all talented, but didn't hit me like other groups have
