HMRC May have happened in 2018. That’s what happened to me, but they are now starting to collect. I completely forgot as 2018, that year was an emotional rollercoaster. The pandemic delayed HMRC collecting the person on the phone told me. I did not believe it myself, like really U.K. HMRC. Paid my debt April this year. I got paid in 2018 and the company did not tax me, why I owed this money.
Oh dear, sounds like they don't know what they are doing sometimes and the trouble is it's very hard to pinpoint when it was long ago. I am hoping to get answers soon. Glad you got yours sorted 🩷
