That counts for the majority of WWII vets and ‘Nam vets, don’t get me wrong. People who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan had terrible experiences and a lot of them got mental issues due to it, but the majority of our military population who suffered the most back home are ‘Nam vets. Not ones from the middle east.

I came home after 12 years, built my own house, got married, had a son, and during all of that and the amount of years that passed, a part of me is still there, and still when I heard the 13 Marines killed in Afghanistan, it hit just as hard as when I lost my Marines.
