Karen Davila, the "journalist" didn't even know that the Boracay rehabilitation plan is 2 years (6 month target is for Phase 1). Do your homework, that was announced since the closure of Boracay and you didn't even know it?

Boracay maintenance fees is a must.
1. Trash bins must be provided anywhere
2. Sewage treatment plants
3. Garbage and waste
management systems
4. Penalties
5. Disciplinary lectures. And Boracay Map and tourist guides
6. Equipments provided and Staff trained to maintain the cleanliness by land and sea
7. Security Cameras and Security Police not just in boracay but all tourist spots.
All of the listed must also be in other tourist spots like Palawan, Siargao and other areas
Trash bins are not required. In Japan, there are rarely any trash bins in Tokyo. This is to force people to bring home their trash and segregate it accordingly. This is what should also be done in Boracay. If Japan can do it so can we. Some of the things you mentioned are already being implemented, and part of the 2 year rehabilitation plan.
Trash Bins are really needed just like in Singapore , trash bins are everywhere.
People of the Philippines are different from japanese. We cannot rely on bringing trash with them, its a bad idea
We can lecture them about it but it needs support like Trash bins inorder to maintain the boracay cleanliness. Just to make sure its clean...dont rely bringing trash with them because some of them are Dumb.. japanese are intelligent.
@@froilananthony7391 It's not about having intelligence, it's about having discipline. The initiative starts now since any citizen can call out people littering and have them arrested in Boracay. I know I will, when I go there in a week, any person I see littering, I will approach and ask them to pick up their trash or I will report them for littering. I will also report them to the nearest task force so they can keep an eye on them.
Here in Singapore, are very disciplined people yes , we bring our trash with us and Singaporeans dont litter any where but still despite of their very well disciplined, there is still Trash Bins anywhere because its more appropriate and more realistic, and makes our travel experience comfortable.
You cannot stay wih them all the time , your not powerful enough to see one by one more than 200t tourist all the time. After you eat jollibee or macdonalds , do you bring ur trash with you?. Not because they provided trash bins inside the store, trash bins will keep and help the area clean because there are always LAPSES.
Be more realistic. Here in Singapore are very well disciplined people, we bring our trash with us but still they provided you with trash bins, so there is no reason for you to throw away your trash anywhere.
All of Singapore are equipped with CCTV cameras with a command center , if you are caught littering , authorities will come at you immediately and have you fined for 500 dollars thats why our MRT here is very well clean.
Aside from Trash bins and 24/7 cctv anywhere, there are also 24/7 maintenance cleaners and state of the art equipment to maintain the area clean 24/7 with no lapses. Keeping the area clean.
That is why Singapore is very clean. Please visit Singapore and you can see the difference and more Realistic. the way Singapore manage it , is more realistic and applicable in the philippines. Singaporeans are disciplined than filipinos but still you are provided everything, so there is no reason for you to be dirty how much more with undisciplined filipinos and you dont provide them anything any amenities and comfort, it will not prosper or somehow decline of tourist. Undisciplined filipinos its new to them, i myself have already witness how Singaporeans making there place clean , its discipline and still they provided you everything you need like trash bins to make you comfortable, how much more with undisciplined filipinos, its hard to discipline them in an instant, trash bins will come in handy to keep and maintain boracay clean aside from reporting them to the authorities, it helps but there would be lapses.
So i suggest please visit Singapore and see the difference its more applicable in the Philippines and provide trash bins , it will be a big help to keep boracay clean and cctv cameras and give them FINES. More realistic and it works.

5. Maintenance cleaners to keep everything in check and clean because there is always LAPSES.
6. undisciplined filipinos must be discipline by fines, lectures, reporting to authorities and penalties, if all of these are met then there is no reason for them to do this or that. CHECKMATE.
This is to make sure boracay is well maintained.

I thought they wanted to make it more family orientated. Being a foreigner i am sad to say they are good for the tourism travel income , yes, pero hinde guid for locals when there is so much competition and prices go up. Too much greed with many of the the particular regions i know which is why i find it really unfair for locals and tourists coming to visit with weak currencies.
