Tyler and OF was my solace in highschool. Then one of my good friend started showcasing his voice in choir, this mans enabled all of us to feel comfortable singing and it is the greatest gift I have received. The genuine un explained hype of musically connecting is a human trait that everyone should experience. This video was a stepping stone for me and hopefully so many others to just feel comfortable with their voice via music and otherwise. Huge love to everyone involved.
That feeling after you have after a good jam sesh is seriously so good. Feels like the music is just flowing through everyone in the room and the music just fits. Knowing exactly how Tyler is feeling.
"His talent as an artist is so underrated. We see him do things like hump a shopping cart or make a song like "Yonkers", and we call him names. But who else in today's music industry writes their own music, plays an instrument, writes and produces their own songs, and puts on their crew with no mainstream help (from people like Lil Wayne or Nicki Minaj)---all before the age of 25? It's unheard of in this day and age. Golf Wang." I translated the top comment into English for you all.
These guys are really passionate about their music. You can't produce shit with this kind of quality "just for the heck of it". I mean look at them, they're moving with their music and all! Props to these guys, this is some real talent. Good luck!!!!!
Hate to be that guy but i think i can give an analogy on whats going on, the tom/perc used was tapped in a 5/4 motion with the ride very delayed to the nearest beat.
@@UNDERDAWGOFFICIAL oh I meant you can’t explain how a drum fill gave me my first born child. But as for your analysis, I think it’s actually two sets of eight note triplets with a ritardando. The way it snaps back out and on beat is really the icing on the cake and gives it that hip af feeling and makes it feel so inexplicable.
Scrooge McFuck Lol this dude thinks these guys are original. don't get me wrong, they're alright but they aren't in any way original. there are and have been people whove done this and better in my honest opinion, dont give em more credit than they deserve LOL
This is why Ghostface's Sour Soul and Twelve Reasons to Die are two of the greatest hip-hop albums in the last decade. The instrumentals are actual people getting down and then having the Don Dotta straight spit on it.
Does it erk anyone else how tyler who is already an extremely successful rapper, can also lay down melodies like these? I mean its just not fair for one man to have that much talent.
Not really, I mean you sound like just because you are one thing, doesn't mean you can do many things. Just because Tyler is a good rapper doesn't mean that is all he can do. I mean if that was the case half the "celebrities" we know would only do one thing. Plus Jazz and rap are very very similar in their origins and hip hop comes from all types of music including jazz. If you really think its not fair for "one man to have that much talent" then you obviously 1. don't know how music works and 2. don't really know of anyone who can do the same as him, if not better. Plus Earl Sweatshirt is better than him.
I have never seen Tyler that calm in my life. For I while I was thinking "Wow he's not gonna yell and swear? Whoa". Then when he get's up from the keyboard and the illusion is shattered. XD
Everything is perfect, the drummer is just there hitting the right stuff, tyler is playing like he's flying on a red sunseta nd the bass damm. Nice jam session dude (y)
Beautiful piece of music man, a Masterpiece. SO smooth and interesting to sit and chill and burn one listening. Thank you for creating this..fuckn blown away
***** Are you joking? Alex is cool, but I imagine Zach is way more experienced. I mean, he's also probably more versatile. And well, he's just probably faster, more on beat, etc. etc.
GREAT... Improvisation and jam-sessions is where music is truly born. I think Tyler felt that at the end of it - that's the feeling of music man!!! GREAT!!!
+Snaggy'sComedyVlog oh shit. yeah. guillotine. Something that came surprising to me is that I liked both Tyler and death grips for a long time and several months ago I realized that Tyler was REALLY into death grips
just imagine how stoked tyler is. he produces his own music. does sick ass shows. hes young. and in the eyes of his fans, hes living it....but i guarantee you he doesnt get to jam with dudes like this. the kind of shit he does, doesnt involve this, so if you can imagine someone never doing something ever in their life and then finally getting to do it....thats what hes feeling. thats the greatest feeling in the world, just jamming.
idiots tend to label other people that have certain skills geniuses. Just because the idiots don't think that they will ever be able to get the same skills.

His reaction to having a jam session was very relatable to me, when you all start playing and the chemistry is there... it's the best feeling there is
Had to like, for a prime number +127
You wannabe
It's like an outer body exp when everything falls right into the pocket.
"Fuck yeah, I'm having a moment!"
@@thelovefromupabove7347 so true, its a happienes you cant relate when you hear someone else jamming. Its kinda of a drug
If Tyler was around the 60's he definitely would have been great a jazz musician
he talks about making jazz songs on an apple interview, I think this is going to happen
that snare goddammit. the ghost snares sound unbelievable on that thing, its stupid
+Hayden Busby It's a piccolo right?
+Hayden Busby There's a bit of pro tools magic going on there too
It's just a piccolo snare but yeah it sounds v gud
ghost notes you mean lmao
I still frequently revisit this. I love how this sounds so much
Same, I have it downloaded unedited cause Tyler pausing trying to remember the beat is a part of what makes this whole thing special.
@@HorrorsofCody same, since this was uploaded
this is real chemistry, they each adapt to each other at every change they make...
The drummer especially. All those dynamic shifts were spot on.
cant be a good drummer without being a good jam buddy fr that takes real talent and feel
What's so sick is that when Tyler forgets the third verse, they somehow magically come back in time
tka tka tka tka tka tka tka tka ;)
Yeah
you know how I know you don't play an instrument
@@UniverseWillProvide lol just let people enjoy shit. I play an instrument and even I found their chemistry intriguing.
Mhmmm, note that whenever dummer is shown on video he looks at pianist.

I feel like I’m 16 again listening to this, but a much older, tired, wiser and appreciative version.
Time blows my mind sometimes
It flies too fast fr
No cap
This vibe is literally perfect.
Wow, did anybody else realize that the intro is Death Grips - Full Moon (Death Classic) slowed down?
Oh yeah! Well spotted!
Definitely. As soon I clicked on this, I was like "Is this Full Moon?"
Holy shit, BBNG covering Death Grips would be amazing.
Holy shit no wonder when I first watched this video I recognised the intro beat.good observation dude
I just found new to me music I heart. Thanks, bra'h!
I actually noticed that somehow XD

Modern Jazz at it's finest.
I hope this never disappears from YT & the Internet for eternity ❤

BBNG make some of the tightest most original sounds
No one is doing what they're doing

I couldn't agree with you more
This dude taught himself how to play piano wtf.
+Andrew Aguirre Speak word brother.
The Squid Squad its not super hard
You can do it if he can do it, try it out!
I did too :) except he had the advantage of access to expensive keyboards, I had to use an old broken grand piano
tyler taught himself on a shitty $30 midi keyboard

That snare............
Going down memory lane. Loved this.
What's so interesting about this jam. Is that it's an actual jam. And it's very calming to listen to. Cheers
One of my favorite thing Tyler has done along with an awesome group.
How come I'm just now finding this
I always liked the vibe from Sessions, Odd Toddlers, and Fish. So chill.

ultra chill version. love it. love the snare's sound.

Finally, it's about time I found a group like BBNG!
the ghost notes on the snare fick fick fickkkkkkkkn ART
I feel like this session made Tyler buy a Korg SV-1. He had the exact same model as this in the Wolf documentary.
this whole session came effortlessly, love watching this! viiiibes
Wow legit remember when Tyler tweeted the link to this video 5 years ago
Reni Oshodi not me can you send me the link lol
Josue De La Torre y? ur already here lol

That BBNG drummer boy is who I want to be. Cutie and a dope drummer. Damn.
god that snare sounds amazing
So sad that Chester's bass isn't loud enough to hear clearly
you need to listen on headphones then bass is very heavy in the mix
Yes! You can enjoy it perfectly with headphones
been watching these videos for 10 years fr
i fr dont see how people didn't think he would go on to make shit like flowerboy and IGOR
i understand how tyler feels at the end, jam sessions just feel so good when you are just vibin with other great musicians, no homo
that was the intro of Full Moon by DG at the beginning!
This sh** is f**king brilliant. Love BBNG & Tyler together. It's a fusion of two forms of ecstasy

Korg SV1? Maybe?
A lot of compression
Korg sv1. This isnt the pianist of the band, but they have used this piano from the beginning. Great sound.
its compression fuzz and reverb
