Decades ago, lego had a similar fire station set that my dad owned and I played with loads when I was definitely under 6 years old. The nostalgia is amazing.
I feel like we’re getting closer to City catching up to Friends in quality of location based sets. Not as high quality, but hopefully significantly the City designers are taking notes from Friends and the importance of having good, detailed building play sets. Also the Fire Truck in this set is great, and City continues to at the very least, have fantastic vehicle builds! :)
Thank you for the review! I like to collect the Lego City firefighters and I'm probably going to get this one at some point, but there's a surprising amount of downsides to this one! Here's all the issues I noticed: - As mentioned in the video: mislabeled helipad, insufficient parking space for the truck. - I really don't like that big empty door frame at the other side of bay number 2. - Bay number 2 is meant to be for the truck in set 60412 and that truck is so wide that it barely fits into the bay, it's actually scraping the sides as you try to get it in. - I really don't like the holes in the docking bays between the red and grey parts. - The design of the docking bay doors is interesting I suppose, I do like the built numbers, but I feel like the sliding doors on the previous fire station were cooler. - I don't like how the helmets and gear are just outside of the building. - I don't like that the fire truck doesn't have a dedicated space to transport the drone, or that there's no dedicated space to dock it into the fire station. - The roof which is meant to be walkable is bare bones and I wish there were some railings there or something. - The office space is super minimalistic and most of it is taken up by the single bed, meh. The previous City fire station had better interior rooms. - Leaves just hanging out on a black window frame is a little weak. - I'm not a fan of how the backside is just a bunch of technic holes everywhere. It looks really off putting to me. - The "side build" in this set is just a lonely trash can, which is just sad. Fire fighting sets usually come with side builds which are little things that can be set on fire and extinguished by the fire fighters. Look at what side builds the previous fire station had, they were much better. - I'm not a big fan of the red and black color scheme. The previous fire station had a red and white scheme and I kinda like that better. Also there is very little bright yellow on the truck. As for the upsides that I see in this set: - I really like the captain minifig, especially the white hat. This is probably going to be the main thing that'll make me buy the set. - The doggo is cool. - The other minifigs are nice too. - I like the sliding bar better than the one on the previous fire station. - I like that there's a ladder on the fire truck, the Lego City fire trucks have been very shoddy about their ladders in the recent years. I'm probably going to get this set, build the truck and use the rest of the parts to upgrade some aspects of the previous fire station.
I think bay 2 is supposed to be the ambulance. Every fire station has an engine and a rescue component. I think the stopper on the floor is supposed to lock in the truck to slightly stick out with the bay door open. Otherwise the trucks would be much further back in the bay itself.
I feel like some people are gonna hate me for this, but I really don’t like the set. I feel like it’s just another bland fire fighting set. But there’s only one thing I like about this set that being the inclusion of the dog, I really love the printing on it.
I’m taking the design and modifying it with a back and making it a small space base. Very Mtron looking. Would go great with the new figure from the leaked minifigure series.

The number screens can always represent what bay it is. For example, bay one can represent engine 23, bay two can represent truck 34 and bay three can represent copter 16.
I think for this wave the fire and police stations are not the greatest sets, because they have been more spacious and bigger stations over the years that can fit many vehicles and Minifigures
I really like it, bordering love the set. I have a few negative thoughts on it. Proportionally the large truck (desptie looking really nice with a great ladder) and the station (especially the garage bay), is wonky off to me. I love the modern station look and the angles. I dislike the garages being too small to use really. It kinda doesn't feel like a fully finished set to me. So for me, the price is too high. I'll consider it when I can find a sale. But it feels incomplete as is, and needs something. And a small truck inside one of the bays. Wow the mislabeling on the sign is a big oversight. I don't think even Jang caught that.
I can definitely see people buying 2-3 of these sets to expand it and "complete" the areas that are lacking. To those who think it looks more futuristic, the whole of the city is going more futuristic, just look at Space. We may even get Cyber Punk City eventually.
The sad part in this set, unlike set 60110, you have to buy 2 extra sets to get the other fire vehicles (helicopter and truck number 2). That is a bit disapointing.
I didn’t buy it and I’m having major issues of buyers remorse now .. I saw the video where they showed the new 2024 city sets.. It didn’t do a good enough job showing just how little depth this has.. but seen how this isn’t like any other fire station we’ve gotten before I was interested in maybe buying it … maybe if they did show just how little ..you can’t even fit the fire truck that comes with it inside the station.. that’s just terrible. I have the 2012, 2015, ..maybe the 2018.. fire station.. If I don’t..we’ll I know that have the 2012 and 2015 fire station .. and I got the downtown fire brigade set instead of the 2018 fire station. The point is you don’t make a set like a fire station and have vehicles be part of that set and you can’t even park them inside properly
Those firefighter helmets are my favourite things with this set. I was going to buy it, but after seeing this review I think I will skip. Too much that didn't impress me sadly.
I'm not liking the fire tuck, the ladder, not extending, no hose, locker door storage. The depth of the bays, fire truck doesn't fit, side door is open other side has a door. Brick doors is a great idea, missing roller doors. I definitely feels a moc going to be done.

The lack of a built-in hose and the water turret are actually accurate to real pumper trucks. They connect to an external hose that feeds the truck water from a hydrant, then spray the water out through a roof-mounted sprayer. Never seen one that can convert to a ladder truck, though.
Sadly has a fire fan i am really not into this set it looks very odd for city look more like airport or space fire station I only the fire engine wnd and new uniforms

If they're numbering their vehicles they should make it so you can combine them if you collect them all like zords.

But we see that truck one is in garage 1 and car 2 is in garage 2. They messed up because of the boat

Real pumper trucks don't have built-in hoses, so that's accurate to real life.
