Masterful, such subtlety and yet hidden depth and detail. Lovely contemplative painting, peaceful and serene. Thank you for posting Karen such a treat.
Your excellent videos and indeed your variety of paintings, has given me the push to graduate from fluid painting to abstract Impressionism. Thank you.
@@karenhalepaintings may I ask what paint brush it is that you're using? I''m slowly buying brushes, pallets knives etc from US suppliers before we leave to return to the UK. I don't feel I will want a load of small brushes, but larger filbert and flat ones.
@@karenhalepaintings super - I'll do just that. Thank you. One other thing, I can't be alone is hoping that you'll un some workshops/courses. I'll be at the front of the queue to sign up.
I really love the abstract minimalism of this painting. Thank you for sharing your creation of it. Do you use any reference photos or drawings for a piece like this?
Great piece , can I ask is that just water that you use to blend or a medium of some sorts ? Would one have to be careful not to use too much water as not to break down the binder in the paint . Thank you
Some of my videos are in real time. The average viewing time is 2 min so I double time the videos so I can get more content in. You can adjust the speed by tapping on the cog (settings) at the lower right side of the video. in the "show more" section you will find a list of supplies I like to use.
That’s me after a drink and I start painting👍

Absolutely gorgeous and love that you turned the painting on its side to paint
I love the texture and moody ambience of this painting, thankyou for sharing your process. 🙂🙏
Thank you for watching.
Each piece of art require much more effort then it might look. Only videos like that helps understand this.
Watching this made my morning coffee time even more delightful, thank you Karen!
That's very nice, thank you.
I am amazed by how easy you do this, very talented and love your paintings.

Amazing!
Beautiful, thanks for sharing
Thank you very much.
I looooove your work ❤ Do you sometimes offer workshops online? I would love to learn more about your style !
I don't have workshops and don't have plans to offer any. I hope you can find my demo videos helpful.

Karen Hale Paintings thank you for the prompt reply
Amazingly beautiful. Please what do you use to spread the clouds, a sponge? Thank you very much
I use a number of different things but I think what you are seeing is a crumpled up paper towel. It's been quite awhile since I did this painting.
@@karenhalepaintings thank you!

It is water. I have never had a problem.
Piękny, podziwiam pani obrazy, technikę i kolory.
Thank you very much.
love it!
Thanks, Debbie.
Karen, love your work. What is your favorite type of brush?
I use inexpensive brushes from a craft store.
Also, do you wait for each layer of paint to dry first before painting over?
I wish i could see you paint in real time. What paints are you using, if i may ask. They blend exceptionally well for acrylic

Did you allow any drying time or was this painted straight through? Very serene. Love it.
Each layer dries before I apply the next.
Love it! Do you use only one color white or more?
Hi Karen, is that sandpaper you are using throughout the video or a sponge? Love your work!
Hmmm. I'm not quite sure what you re referring to. I use a squeegee and paper towel and a piece of soft plastic in the video.
It's while you're working on the clouds. Possibly a paper towel. I was just so curious!
It's at min 7:21, it almost looks like a block of some kind...
@@bethcullinane815 It's a piece of soft plastic that I picked some place.
Beautiful painting!! Karen, how long did it take you to paint this?
I really don't know how long a painting takes. There are over 10 layers on each and I set them aside and work on another.
What size canvas do you use here please?
24x24
Is this pure water you spray with or some kind of medium? Love your paintings by the way.
There is just water in the bottle.
Brilliant!!
Thank you
