About the deepseek, I find it interesting that most us channels talk in a way too biased towards defending the us companies even when presenting their cons. I believe that us citizen see way less of how emperialist the USA capitalism is. Trump is way more open about it. The most important aspect is. Its open source and with that the AI talk at least for now is not too us-centric. The deepseek ai was so refreshing to me that was despised by AI in general
Sorry, but I think 'Apple Man' will struggle to a-peel (✔️) to anybody beyond its' intended core (✔️) 'sentient fruit gamer' audience. On a different -- though equally not too serious😁 -- topic, why should newborns in US hospitals be stuck with such a limited range of options, when it comes to getting new smartphone tech? Surely it's time for dedicated mobile Linux OS variations to cater to such young potential FOSS boosters: Toddler OS, Gagagoogoo OS, etc., along with better hardware options e.g. sponge and rubber smartphone handsets that bounce straight back into your baby's hands, no matter how many times they throw them directly onto the floor👶?! The latter item could even be paired with Diaper OS, but the latter item should definitely NOT be pre-loaded🙄. Yes, I know, I'm leaving...🤣!!! Always enjoy the show -- please keep up your much-appreciated fine work🎯🐧👍👏!!!
Hey Michael, how dare you criticize ryan for his pronunciation, you language and grammar nerd. 🤣You say THEEEE to everything even though the grammar rules tells you to say THEEEEE when in front of a vowel, but you do it to everything even when in front of a consonant.🤣 Sorry for my bad grammar. My excuse is that I'm from a place in Europe, but I still remember my english teacher smacking down on every pupil who broke that rule. That was in 1963 - 70. Thanks for another interesting and fun show.😂
This is a choice I made because it is a worthless rule which offers no benefit for the difference. If you say either at any time it doesn’t change or impact anything, it’s pointless complication. It’s just like the rule “I before e except after c”, it means nothing when there are dozens of exceptions in all forms. English “rules” are more like suggestions than rules. - Michael
Investors are actually right to be guarded, a lot more operators can get into the AI game; which means where the money is right now might not be where the money will be in the future. Remember, investing is a bet on the future.
Why are most of the talks focus on the money and business side of this DeepSeek topic. Point is not ONLY how much money they spend on their model, more importantly that they follow the researchers way, puplish how they achieved it. Now everyone can use that research and and improve on it. What OpenAI did is just to f. up the ai research field with this proprietary thought and made the whole world forget that ai or any research is about. And people again only talking about the open source part (the weights) is again disappointing. It's called research.
16:25 The quote is from Men In Black.
Used deepseek this weekend. I like it.
24 minutes before Ryan mentioned Arch Linux? wow. ;-) (I run Arch.)
I came here to debate the Twitter/X name and eat Cheetos and I'm all out of Cheetos.
You should ask DeepSeek (R1) the most efficient method to acquire MORE CHEETOS!
Google does stick with things until the end - it's just they're the ones that specify when the end is. ;-)
The USA analogy? (Speaking from the perspective of "somewhere else")

31:06 you can use home automation for that
Thanks for the video Destination Linux! AutoKeybo runs DeepSeek.

7:53 well, you need more customers, which might not always be as easy.
20:22 which ones have you been looking at ? Not in my experience.
45:11 I'm pretty sure there's a fortune mod in terminal that tells Dad jokes
What happens when an OpenAI model "escapes" (It already tried) and "Meets" DeepSeek or its offspring on the internet?
I did have an Uncle Bob, until he died in the early 2000's. ;-)
How about "Xchange" (as in "Of views") ?
Sandfly doesn't even mention a price on their website, that's to expensive for me.
Is OpenAI the "USA of A.I" with DeepSeek the "BRICS (/Belt & Road) of A.I" ?

@@DestinationLinux Wrong, it's only in the US where no rules goes.
Wrong, rules are meant to be broken 😆
@@DestinationLinux None of your answers makes any sense. Is that what you teach your kids if you have some?
Hey, I like X!!! But I will call it X-witter because X already has too many name collisions... from a Gen Xer...
