Honestly, this song gave cal Kramer a lot of room to show what he's about. Hes probably the best front man in the US currently, and I feel they picked the perfect song to showcase that.
I'd stick to the your own material, which is brilliant, but I'd advise putting yourself in direct comparison with Bon Scott era ACDC. You're always going to come off second best.
They’re doing the hard slog, had to do a cover to get the gig, loved the comment at the end. Turned down Coldplay ffs, would have been great exposure but stuck to their standards. Pity I’m wrong side of the planet but at least they’re coming UK next month 🤘🤘
This called selling your soul to the AFL for a payday. They should have said “if you want the Southern River Band” we play our song. Otherwise get one of the dozens of corporate/wedding bands who could play this song as well if not better. They lost cred doing this.

Why moan about a band doing a cover? They are not f$$$king REPLACING it, they are just covering it. The original is still there for you to listen to anytime you feel the need.
I’ve only discovered these guys recently and anyone who just thinks they’re AC/DC or ripping off AC/DC isn’t really listening to everything these guys are doing. They encompass a lot of different styles. It’s not like their Airborne or some crap like that. These guys are actually making music, not a schtick.

If you want to be an AC/DC cover band do it, your own songs suck, complete ripoffs of AC/DC.
That was uncalled for. The band was asked by the AFL to cover this song, and their songs actually sound more like thin Lizzy than ACDC if you ask me.
