I love these videos of you all giving the deals coming up of cruises! I'm going to book the 12 night cruise in march on Eclipse!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!! keep up the good work!!!
As you mentioned, timing is hard to gage. I booked the Constellation TA while on the Ascent, back in August, and got $87/night for an ocean view (solo). Repositionings are always a great opportunity!
Fantastic deal! We always try to book on board when we can - usually it's a lower deposit and even if we change it later we can typically move the deposit to another booking later. Have a great sailing!
My wife & I are doing our sixth transatlantic on Celebrity Equinox this November from Lisbon to Port Canaveral. 12 nights in a balcony cabin was $990/pp including taxes & fees when we booked last year- it’s now a bit higher. Much cheaper than flying business class and we love the sea days and relaxation-typically before or after a lot of land travel. We are doing our first transpacific from Seattle to Tokyo on HAL next year and a long 35-night transpacific from Sydney to San Diego in 2026. I’m 6’8” and we always try and plan at least one leg of our vacation via a re-positioning cruise. (In our 70s)
Great deal on the TA cruise! Well done. Great point - if you have a lot in store before or after the crossing - it's a great way to head into it fully rested or end with relaxation. We're likewise looking forward to our first transpacific cruise - it has to wait until early 2026. You're smart to plan well in advance - usually a better price and choice of cabins. And in your case a way to stretch out on long travel. Enjoy them all!
These are WONDERFUL breakdowns - thanks! Also, appreciate you including gratuities in the cost since they are basically non-negotiable. QUESTION: about how much is a wifi pkg with celebrity for one of these longer trips?
Thanks for watching. Completely agree on gratuities - it is an essential expense that many do overlook. The crews work so hard and we don't mind spending it, but important to budget accordingly. On wifi, you might have some fares that will include it. Find out if there is one where they can include - sometimes a better deal. Otherwise assume I'd say $20-$30 per day in that range. And, buy it in advance for a discount which is usually available after you book.
We are taking Ascent’s transatlantic 4/20-5/05 2025, which we booked in April when we were on the Beyond. On our Cruise Critic group page, we’ve learned that the sailing is already getting close to sold out. So, the ship will not feel more empty. Every single Sky Suite and other suites are sold out, so the Retreat areas and Luminae will be as full as on regular sailings (we are in a Sky Suite). We are taking the following cruise from Rome to Turkey and Greek islands.
These days the cruise lines are quite brilliant with their dynamic pricing - they know how to fill the ships even sailings that used to be less popular. One thing that helps on TA sailings is you tend to have less multi-generational so fewer cabins with 3-4 occupancy. It will still be busy of course but that does help a bit. Keep in mind at final payment there will be quite a few who will cancel but definitely don't expect these to go out at low capacity. Thanks for the feedback and enjoy your great cruises!
I’m a big fan of repo cruises, transpacific and transatlantic, but only on ships that are a destination themselves. I do two or three a year. Lately though, I’ve found all my repo cruises 100% full or nearly so.
Agree with that. There's a lot of ship time so this is also where we make the exception and don't mind the larger ships. When we are destination focused, the smaller the better. Crossings? We like the larger ships. As for capacity, they have gotten much more popular as the word gets out. Still good value thankfully!
Have sailed apex. Upcoming Dec cruise on beyond. Looking to do trans Atlantic sometime next year. Infinite veranda is controversial but my wife and I loved the extra inside footage.
We have to get on Beyond (and/or Ascent). Yep, agreed there are a lot of opinions on the infinite veranda but we were fine with it. I do understand the critique if you are in a really hot area it's very hard to keep it open due to the A/C.
We have done two Celebrity TA's and have two more planned, with extra travel at the end of each (two river cruises, one stay in Spain, and a planned Azamara Med cruise. We also look for re-positionings from Boston to FL in the fall to move from our summer property to permanent home in FL; one completed in 2023, one planned for 2025. With many at-sea days, Ocean View cabins can split the cost difference between inside and balcony cabins, and we've had good experiences with them.
Sounds amazing with your new trips planned. You are doing it right! Glad to see you are mixing in some destination cruises as well and river based. Nice mix. Good point on Oceanview. If you want to save some nice money but still have the view and natural light that's a perfect middle ground.
Comments: 1) I thought that when they were upgrading M-class ships, they were making them closer to the S-Class ships. 2) Just spent 16 days on the Solstice and 14 days on the Nieuw Amsterdam in Alaska in September. I cannot honestly say that the level of service on the Celebrity ship even came close to that on HAL. I will say that the entertainment was better on Celebrity. In our experience, HAL, Celebrity, and Princess are very similar and there is not one that I would be willing to pay a steep premium over. I am beginning to believe that Celebrity is getting closer to the service you get on RCCL. 3) I like your videos as the pricing is very accurate. I wish that cruise lines would add in the gratuities and quote one price.
Great feedback and info. Thank you for that. I believe on the M-Class it combines elements of both Edge/Solstice but my understanding was they tried to lean more into the Edge class. Either way they brought those up closer to the newer ships at least as far as what is viable. We'll have a few Celebrity experiences in 2025 so will be good to compare where service, food, quality is in relation to our last sailings post-pandemic. Agree it should never be a steep premium. Thanks for watching!
That upgrade plan for the older ships was tossed out the window by the new CEO in late 2023. The M class won’t be getting “Revolutionized” any time soon. She appears determined to drive the brand into the ground even though they continue to raise prices every other week. This is not the only thing she has done to damage the brand, and when asked about it, all she does is respond with “cut and paste” corporate babble. We have done at least 2 cruises a year in Suites on Celebrity since 2016, but are now shifting our business to other brands. We cannot recommend Celebrity to anyone these days.
We sailed the TransAtlantic April 14, 2024 cruise on Ascent, it was WONDERFUL. Perfect weather, great entertainment, wonderful ports of call, AND NO CHILDREN to speak of. We're in our sixties and don't dislike children, we just don't like them underfoot on our expensive and relaxing vaca, otherwise we'd be on Royal Caribbean. Bottom line is, we loved the cruise ssoo much, we've booked the similar April 20, 2025 TransAtlantic on the Ascent. Now if the weather is as good as 2024 we'll have an equally excellent trip. BTW, we stayed over for three days in Barcelona, a most beautiful city, then flew on to Roma for another 4 days, three coins in the fountain. This 2025 TA terminates in Roma and we're staying five days in Roma with a day trip to Tuscany (Pienza). Highly recommend Celebrity and a TA if you've got the time. We were gone for three weeks and will likewise be gone for three weeks in 2025.
Awesome. Thanks for that great feedback. We've wanted to get on the Ascent. We'll get on the Beyond next year so close - similar ship with the Ascent having a few subtle improvements. Glad it was so good you booked again. That's the ultimate confirmation. We're in Rome right now - so much to see. Enjoy the journey!
I think you'll really enjoy the Edge. It is still Celebrity, just embrace what is unique and different about it. Sounds like a great cruise starting in Hawaii for you. We have done multiple Princess sailings (been a while) but haven't tried a crossing but know others who have had a great time.
Amazing! We are booked going from Florida to Europe in March on the same ship. Promise we'll keep the ship in good condition for you sailing later in the year :) We sailed Apex once and loved it. It's a very different experience than the Solstice class ships but familiar.
Looks great and you end up in Singapore one of our favorite cities to explore for a few days! From there you can reach virtually anywhere in Asia. Sounds like a nice deal as well with the balcony cabin.
I have booked on that same cruise ... unless I can find something that priced better. Having just sailed a month between Vancouver and Whittier, AK, I am not convinced that I want to be in Alaskan waters in October.
I love these videos of you all giving the deals coming up of cruises! I'm going to book the 12 night cruise in march on Eclipse!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!! keep up the good work!!!
Fantastic. You'll have an amazing time. We've had some great sailings on the Eclipse.

awesome deal for solo!!!! i travel solo mostly and it's always so hard to find deals (especially with limited time off work)
Thank you for researching these DEALS!!!!! 🚢🚢
You're welcome. We appreciate you watching and we'll keep them coming.
Celebrity cruise line is our favorite! We did a transatlantic cruise and it was cheaper than flying, plus we didn’t have jet lag!
Yep, saving on jet lag is an unspoken value. Glad you had a great cruise.

Celebrity has been our Go To for cruises. Love the Solstice Class.
A true classic ship design!

Another helpful cruise video from DR! Thanks!
We appreciate that! Thanks for watching and let us know if there are any other cruise lines or regions you'd like us to do a video on for deals.

We are booked on the same transpacific cruise (Sydney to Hawaii) on the Edge as well!
We can't wait - well, we'll have to, it's gonna be a while :) We'll see you out there.

We have only sailed on Celebrity solstice class 4 times doing the Edge from Hawaii to Vancouver next May then we may try Princess for a Transatlantic

We are looking at Trans Pacific, 29 night, Seattle to Singapore, Sept 25 on Discovery Princess. Balcony, $432/couple/day with tax and tip.
