Why do you keep thinking about Haason Reddick's contract talks in baseball terms? He wants at least $50 million in guarantees, not $50 million total. If you want to extend him for 2 years, you can instead do a 4-year, $100 million contract with guarantees for half of it and get out of it early when it becomes necessary.
