Hi mate. I hope you are well and you've finished your challenge. I had to pull out after the Falls of Glomach due to my ankle. I was really struggling by the time I tapped out.
Ahh nightmare 👎 certainly harder than what you see on RUclips. I finished my walk on Friday past. I found after falls of glomach the walking got alot easier until the final day to cape wrath. I completed it in 12 days walking and 1 rest day, hopefully do it again next year. Take care 👍
My hubby Tony has met you on the trail. You are both doing amazing! He said to check out your chanel. Look forward to seeing updates from the trail 🥾 🏕️
Thank you Lyns. Tony has .over on ahead of me now. I need a real day. Got a few niggles appearing. Please pass on my best wishes to Tony. He is a great guy. He is flying by the way. He will smash it. x
Hi John, I've just come across your channel and subscribed. The CWT is on my bucket list so I love watching anyone's adventures on it. Really looking forward to seeing you on it, all the very best of luck. Cheers Dave
Hi Dave. Thank you very much. I've subscribed to your channel too. I had to drop out of the CWT at just under ninety miles. I had damaged my ankle earlier in the hike and it just got progressively worse. I will upload the video when I get chance.
@@thunder_roaming Thank you so much. Really appreciate that. Such a shame mate, but to do 90 odd miles is still one hell of an effort. Look on the bright side, it means you get to go back. 😀🥾⛰🏴And you could ask always start where you left off. I’ve seen a few people on you tube who have done it in a couple of stages.
@@thunder_roaming oh sorry to hear mate. I had a couple of falls myself in that area but was lucky nothing serious. Tough time of the year to. Absolutely well done getting as far as you did! 👍
Hi Dave. Thanks for the comment. I'm at Shiel Bridge and my first mobile signal for four days. I am finding this a lot tougher than I expected but making progress. I'm taking a rest day today. I'm having an issue with my left ankle which is now tightening my calf. Fingers crossed it isn't something hike ending. Good luck on your hike. I've just subscribed to your channel. I'll give your videos a watch when I'm back. 👍
Thanks John... very sensible taking a rest day... i have a saying "no points for stupid". I tell myself that a lot!!. Better to rest a day, heal and recover than to try and push on. All the best and i will look out for your posts :)
Thank you for watching. Unfortunately I had to tap out with an ankle injury at just under ninety miles. You are correct though, electronics does cost a bit of weight. I am enjoying my early experiences of filming though.
Good luck with that hike. Sounds like a nice one. You mention ticks quite a lot, and being prepared for them and avoiding them. But I recall no mention of ticks on your Coast to Coast. Are they less of an issue further south? I presume a tick kit is essential no matter where you are. I'm hoping to be on the C2C in about 4 weeks. 🍻
Hi James. Sorry I'm slow to respond. This is my first mobile signal for four days. This CWT is a lot tougher than it appears. Ticks are everywhere on our trails so I did take precautions on the C2C. I'm just taking a lot more precautions on this one because they are around in massive numbers. Good luck on your C2C and have fun.
How's it going mate, am just wondering what the guy was called that you walked with over from kinlochhourne? I met him when he left Sheil Bridge and was just wondering if he completed the trail. Cheers
Hi mate. Hope you are well. The lads name is Tony. Don't know his surname. Yes he did finish the trail. Off the top of my head, I think he did it in about fifteen days. I watched your stalking videos and really enjoyed them. It will soon be pheasant season so I will be out on my syndicate.
Nice equipment. Thank you for sharing 👍
Hi mate, I met you just before sheil bridge, I was the guy who recognised you. hope you got on well?

Cheers Craig. 63 miles in now but this is tougher than anything I've done before. 👍
Good luck! Sure your stubborn Carter gene will get you through! 👍👊😘
Cheers sis. 👍

@Dave Allen I'm pretty sure I will go back to settle the score Dave. Cheers.
You've got this John! You've done the hard bit mate!
This one didn't go according to plan sadly. I did my left ankle in and had to pull out at just under ninety miles. The video will be out soon.

Good luck Dave, I will be in the area for 2 weeks at the end of May. Kintail and Ben More roughly 👍
Good luck 👍
Cheers Paul. 👍
Best of luck !
Cheers Mac. I didn't finish unfortunately. Damaged my ankle and had to pull out at just under ninety miles.
@@thunder_roaming good effort though mate
@@macinthewild8116 cheers Mac.
Wow, looks like it will be a tough hike.
Good luck bro.
No space in the pack for a few beers😂
Cheers bro. Chance of a beer about day 4 I think.
Enjoy the hike! You pay some price for filming these adventures, must be 2 kilos of electronics gear.
