- recorrimos mas o menos 20 kilometos desde casi el border con USA hasta unos 500 metros de la estacion de Tecate Mexico por la abandonada linea del Carrizo Gorge Railway. o (SD & AE) RR.
Even though it's abandoned I'm surprised no one tries to stop you. This is so cool.
once when i was testing mine on a siding, a security guy stopped me and a bunch of night shift guys gathered and were asking a bunch of questions and then they just eventually all went back to work and left me to go about my runs. that was ten years ago though.
im also amazed on how good condition it is in and how long it goes for. I dont really have that near me
The dogs cracked me up. They were swarming down from the hills.
its abandoned.
This video needs more beer for the ride. I see the ice chest, but no sign of beer?
😁🍻😁
Great video, I have the same type of Leslie Typhon air horn, I found mine 20 years ago in a abandoned shopping cart full of aluminum cans and scraps near the recycling center in our town, I saved it. I cleaned up the diaphragm and it works great and loud as heck. I have a nice chrome fire extinguisher from the 1950's with a schrader valve to fill it full of compressed air then I hooked the horn up to the fire hose and use the handle valve to blast the horn, We used to drive the main drag in town and blast it, It was hilarious
What an adventure! Loved the laughter and joy you derived from your exploits.
This video needs more beer in it.
🍺😁🍺😁
It boggles my mind the time and money it takes to put into a railroad infrastructure, just to see the rails pulled back up. Happens every day around the world
At one time H town had rails and multiple Companies .Then they decided they weren't needed our hiway system is ample .Tore 3/4 of rails out publicly sold right of way to ruthless developers, now whining about wanting commuter rail and can't because no available right of way property..
Yup, every 2-4 sleepers( ties) is a massive tree. Such a shame.
Yep
I want to make one
People hated the noise and delays, property value it but in rural areas its brilliant and effective, let alone efficient freight and transport . Sadly its dying and so cool to find this. I played at video game at Disney Quest with these! Hand crank old versions people used to ride!
Thank you, guys... very enjoyable!! Watched the entire trip to and from... looking forward to going through all your journeys.
Your videos are really cool even though I don’t understand Spanish, but having a good time is understandable in any language!!!😃
I am very glad that you like my videos. !! I am putting subtitles in English to the last videos that I have uploaded. thank you!!!
@@archiemoreno yes I see you’ve added subtitles in English. Thank you. Much appreciated!!
I rode a train on these tracks back in the late 90s. My mother had a little coffee shop in the middle of town in Tecate and every weekend my dad and I would go to the train museum in Campo to hand out fliers to people that were taking the Train tour on these tracks from Campo to the Tecate beer factory. You also pass by my furniture factory around the 17 minute mark. Cool video, i have always wanted to do something like this!
Neat !
Do you turn around and go back or do you have someone pic you up at your end destination??!
I can’t believe your car was still there.
I always wanted to convert my Yamaha Raptor 700 quad to a rail rider. The scenery from the rail is spectacular. Thanks for a wonderful trip. Looking forward to the next 😎🇺🇲🇵🇭
With an engine that big, you could probably ride it down the ACTIVE rail lines and outrun any of the trains! That would be awesome too. 😁
@@glenturney4750 Would never dare riding fast on abandoned track, since width of the track can vary.
Your speeder adventures are pretty cool! It would be nice if you gave the viewer a little more camera action to the side so we can see the country and the places you are going through. It would be neat to see how you built this speeder. Maybe do a video on how you built your speeder. Keep up the great work!
Richard
I'm thinking this footage is taken from a head-mounted camera.
@@danoc51 4:20 close.
I'd love to build one!!!🛤💯👍🙋♂️
A nice Sunday drive through the country would accomplish the same thing.
Archie es un loco hermoso!!! De joven andaba en una motocicleta, que de tanque de nafta tenía un ataúd. Un genio es
Excelente 👌 ojalá recorran todas las vía abandonadas que existan .saludoss
This is a fantastic railroad with all the huge fills and earth cuts! It seems like it would be still in use. I'm surprised there are so many people around the area. It seems remote. Thanks for sharing the video!
Good observation
I love the way it just trundles along through the countryside
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing your fun adventures on the rails.
I like very much how the rail joints are staggered, that’s brilliant.
Thank you for bringing us this very interesting and informative video presentation which is very much appreciated by the people. A lot of this railroad looks in pretty good condition, it is a pity that they have torn some of it up.
Absolutely fabulous rail cart ride. Fascinating experience 🙏🙏🙏
🧐🤔🗣️📢💨💨💨💨💨📢💨💨 🤦FABULOUS 🤺THAT'$ THE WORD I WAS LOOKING 👀 FOUR thanks 🦸👍 🤝🦧🐒😉🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳😷
This is just the sort of thing RUclips was invented for! - I'd love to see a video on how you built the rail cart, how you transport it etc. Wonderful.
i totally agree....
yu guys should be pulling the big weed bushes out---would make the return trip more enjoyable and rewarding by locals-thining yu all work for the RR
I’m probably more jealous than I’ve ever been in my life. And it looks like I’m the only one here that enjoys the horn too. Awesome video!
I think I would run rubber on the wheels, the noise would be to much for me.
@@davidross5169: Yes, I would try to find a rubber sleeve to expand and slip over the steel wheels. The ride would be much quieter if it had rubber over them. Maybe find an old inner tube from a truck tire, cut 4 of them the width of the steel wheels, then glue them to the wheels before slipping them on? Once, I was driving in the city in my company's Chevy S-10 and I came to where the light rail tracks were inside of my lane down the middle of the street. I slightly turned my steering wheel as I was driving along, so that my tires were traveling on the rails. The ride got really quite, meaning I couldn't hear the sound of the rubber tires rolling on the asphalt and the ride got really smooth, so I think if their wheels had rubber sleeves on them, it would be MUCH quieter and smoother of a ride. 😁👍
I like the horn too, it's a good idea going over crossings that haven't seen a train in years, keeps the motorists on their toes so they don't hit someone
This is great! Just going for a chill ride on the tracks! I wish I could do this.
I have a drone it can follow us. I'm driving down from central Cali. When is good for you? I'll buy the beers & dinner. Lol.
But seriously really great videos. Thanks for being adventurous & sharing your unique experiences. Stay safe. Take care my friend.
An 11.2 mile international adventure! Best video so far!!
-U got to be kidding.
Great horn cute rides enjoy 🤩
The dogs are like: that's a train! My mom and dad told me about them.
Ha!! Very cool! Nice to hear you having fun with the trip. Very laid back and fun!
This is like a childhood dream! How would you not want to do this. Hats off!
yo soy de tecate y justo vivo por las vias del tren que gran sorpresa ver tu video saludos
En cualquier momento vuelvo a pasar .cuando escuches un cuerno de tren . Saludos!!!
That guy’s random laughter makes this video totally worth it.
Amigo Bonito vídeo vem aqui no 🇧🇷que tem muitas linhas abandonadas vc deve gostar um abraço e sucesso 👍👍🇧🇷
I would love to do something like this. I live in Australia and when railway lines are closed, the powers that be waste no time in ripping up sections of line, not the complete line but just sections of it. Yes you could travel a few miles but not distances like this. There are groups who have what we call section cars who ride disused rails here. Some rail lines are seasonal to cope with farming communities and only operate at certain times of year.
Now this is a ride I would love to take. Your own private highway !
What an enjoyable way to spend a weekend.
This was AWESOME!!! I loved it. So what you do when you came up to this unfortunate gravel pit, turn around or ????????? What scares me the most are the damn dogs, and cartels if any, everyone seems to friendly folks, GIVN you the wave/hello, 🤠🖐️😁😉👋👍 ALWAYS be safe, GOD BLESS, 🙏🙏🙏
Your videos are great!! Keep them coming!
looks like fun, good job on the cart.
Tanks for the amazing ride.
I Love this Video toll gemacht weiterhin good Lucky Train greetings from Germany Cologne 🚂🚂
Parabéns pelo vídeo e saudações do Professor Franquêta de Sergipe no Brasil
This would be really fun to watch with a 360-degree camera in virtual reality!
Genius nutters. We will miss men like you. Thank you.
A kit assembled from the back of a car. Excellent! 👍🏻😀🇬🇧
Pretty cool stuff boys.
You guys have a lot of guts!! Good for you!!
@@archiemoreno I want to ride with you guys
Something I wouldn’t hesitate to do back in the 70’s for sure.
That was so cool
nunca vi nada mas divertido!
Wow it's vers funny to follow you , thank's for ride !
The Campo railroad museum offers train rides from Campo East. Only a few years ago these tracks were still complete and railroad excursions were offered from Campo railroad museum to mainland Mexico.
does the Campo railroad museum still offer the train ride?
If there were more of you doing this there'll probably be outlaws waiting around like Jesse James to rob you😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't know how I missed this video until now, been wondering about the condition of the line from Tecate east to the border - I know this was recorded a year ago, but it seems to me the line is in surprisingly good condition. Tourist trains from Tecate east to the end of the line, maybe? A dream for someday! Thanks Archie for sharing this!
Thank you for bringing me along. What a great adventure.
I love this. I could tow a teardrop camper with it and just ride abandoned rails and spurs for weeks.
This is a great journey! I love the dog's reactions. I can't believe that SUV was parked so close to the tracks.
We're mesmerized I tell ya. It's like a high quality episode of Trailer Park Boys with Ricky and Bubbles swearing in a cart🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahahahah 🤣🤣🤣👍
Just seen with my father, it was a nice trip! Cheers from Brazil
0:01 that thing has a horn on it 38:06 you blew the toot!😊
This is so cool i would love to do this just ride abandoned rails just gotta watch out for thick brush growing up between the rails places where there is dirt or payment over the rails burying crossings or other hazards that could derail you like as he's finding out in this video the tracks may not always be there and you can be derailed very easily or even gotta watch out for boulder's or rocks between the rails but this video was awesome to watch 👍😁
11:30 to 11:50 was the funniest part for me, could turn that into a movie, "2 guy's traveling by rails, somewhere along the line they started to get chases by dogs after a while they runs out of track. find out what happens next on, Dog Brothers."
Se me ase una 🎉abentura muy agradable los veo como me gustaría un a abentura sai
I'm a tram and I approve this video! Great footage!!!
Muito lindo as imagens parabéns, aqui no Brasil,🇧🇷 a várias linhas férrea abandonadas, em breve estaremos fazendo o nosso troller abraço
Where can i get wheels and axles? Any direction would be appreciated.
Do you have plans?
Funny Very Nice ! Trop bien votre Lorry
Best regards from France

Good video quality. 👍👍
Nice railroad trip, finally I know where that bridge is I googled it 😂
I see why it’s a two seater 😊
Lively..... até the end is a pintura.... a piece of rail in the sand. All that Magic feeling ... nowhere go...
Derailment was, unexpected and not accounted for.
Racing puppies provided good comic relief. Lol
I can watch this kind of video all day long, it’s simply interesting.😄😄😄
In all this immensity, I'm amazed that the fuel didn't run out on the way.
The horn is pretty cool, congrats on the ride!
Can't believe they actually removed most abandoned rails in Washington
I watched it all the way! Great video sir. I watched a video about a old man with a minivan in some remote country who has a bus/train rider system and freight service between remote towns and to turn it around it has a steel plate on the bottom of the van ,he jacks it up in the center and with a little help spins it 180 degrees and heads back.
Cool ! Shalom from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil !
Great ride guys! Love the Leslie!!! You could sell tickets to this type of ride...but not in Mexico..LOL.
Thanks for the trip!
Gregg.
I love the fact that the frickin horn is the biggest part of the contraption.
Lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!
Hahahahaha love the horn...that and the laughing is what makes it so doggone entertaining! With that cooler up front ya gotta suspect that they are enjoying some cool beverages on their adventure as well! Hahahahaha too cool.
This is something I never thought of. So cool
These are awesome videos. Are you able to dismantle your cart and carry it in your SUV? Just wondered how easy it is to transport. Good luck in your next adventure. I will be tuning in. Thank you. (Love the horn😂)
What cool is I thought of doing something like what you guys are doing since was a kid growing up next to track. Have so many memories and even driving an engine at 8 yrs of age next to where we lived. Alway loved the as I called the putt putt cars. But again, love what you guys created, and your adventures are just great. Keep up the good videos and will be watching!!
Great ride there. Really enjoyed this.
As time goes by I would think that abandoned rail to ride on would get more scarce. I was watching a video about exploring abandoned mining towns. One town was Gilman Colorado. Had to walk a spur for awhile. Noticed that tops of rail had rust. Don't know how far the line goes. It might be worth looking into.
Nice explore ride cart on old rail road Man....good
Nicest trip ever! No derailments, cool crossings to pass over!
It amazes me that people haven't pulled up the tracks and sold them for scrap
Oooh yes !!!!!
This is badass!! What a great idea. Thanks for sharing!💙
Absolutely fantastic looks like great fun nice one .
The doggies were like “who are these guys let us give them a chase” 😅😅😅
A beautiful and enjoyable trip, following you from Iraq
Gracias!!
Hey, if I had one of these with that horn, hell yes I’d be honking it!
Okay, the railroad tie across the tracks is disturbing. Drug dealers? gangs? I hope you are prepared for these situations 🔫 we don’t want to see anything bad happening. You are a treasure and we care about your safety. I am in Hawaii, however, lived 20 years in socal. I love camping and always carried protection out there. There I a certain innocence and fun in your videos. Be careful.
Hope you got some good brakes on that speeder. You're really breaking some records.
Dude, what a great Hobby! This is totally something I could get into. I'm thinking a bit lighter with foamboard and fiberglass, but damn that looks like fun.
A wagon and some cabin and lights on the loco and boom! A little train.
Amazing! It would be difficult to experience a train trip that exceeds this, even with the Japanese railway network.😆
This really looks fun but unfortunately here in my area all the truly abandoned track has been pulled out and/or converted into walking trails.
Que buen paseo lo disfruté mucho muchísimas gracias
That looks fun. If we were aloud this in New Zealand I can do my own..
Que hermosa vista
Hahaha - fantastic ! Your machines resembles the moon rover ( the little electric car ,that David Scott and his fellows used to ride on the Moon ??? ) ...and your rides are like exploration of unknown territories. Keep them coming.
Saludos desde Naucalpan Edo Mex, para la otra aventura espero traigan un dron.
Nice trip you should have brought some doggie treats.
Lol🤣🤣🤣🤣😄😄😄👍
Cool railcar build. I'm in the process of building a railcar with solid steel wheels. I have wheels already, just need to build a frame and put in a hydraulic drive system
just remember, in the end your gonna be carrying that thing all alone.
This is right up there at the top of my Bucket List!
