That was wrong... the problem is that grammatically in english it was difficult to make sense of it... but She was only saying a single word over and over again... but we were hearing actually an incomplete sentence, the ME when she was saying it repeatedly was never actually there, but it was the most obvious intent of the words at the moment and it was intended even in writting to be misunderstood that way... ON the other hand the sentence could have had several meanings if completed... the word was ...AISHITE... which you could have completed in the following ways... Watashi wo AISHITE... (Love me as an order or as a request) Anata wo AISHITEru... (I love you) Jibun wo AISHITE ... (Love yourself) Now we can hear her full words... At first she says the same words... Aishite (Love__)... Followed by the complete sentence... Motto anata wo AISHITE... Love your own self more... So at any rate regardless of whatever is going on with that witch there has been something going on with her from the very beginning...
I don't remember if it was in the novels or in a theory but I read that the Trial uses someone’s Gate to reject them, which is why a mage like Roswaal was so injured while Subaru only got nauseous. Also, Roswaal being the one who ordered Elsa and Meili to attack the mansion means he could be the one who already hired them in the first two Arcs. We know that Elsa, at least, had a client.
Spoilers end of season 2 but cut from anime: Though Roswaal actually only hired Elsa, and specifically seemed to hire her to a) steal Emilia's insignia in arc 1 and b) kill Beatrice in arc 4, he didn't hire her to kill Frederica Petra or anyone else, and in arc 1 it also suggests Roswaal was suspicious of Subaru because Elsa acted against his orders and was possibly working for someone else then too. In fact he says to Subaru in volume 15 that he tried to find the intermediary he used to hire Elsa but they vanished. So neither of them actually followed his orders, they were twisted by the intermediary and someone else they were working for.
You always say "Satella look just like Emilia" but since the beginning of the story, what is said is that Emilia resembles Satella, hence the suffering she suffered during her childhood and throughout her life.
Great reaction, yea this episode had a lot. They left something important out about Satella, honestly idk why they did its the only important detail they removed. But it helps that scene make WAY MORE sense Satella has a split personality, the one we saw earlier taking over Emilia and trying to destroy everything was the “witch of Envy” personality. But the “Satella” personality is the one here. Something happened to her that made her go crazy and gave her 2 separate personalities that are alive. Thats why shes normal here and loving, and why the witches are okay with her despite her killing them. They know its Satella and some of them are even friends with her, a few still hate her tho like Echidna. Thats also why she wanted Subaru to kill her, to put her out of misery and stop her witch self. and this is a smaller detail but i see a lot of people miss this, Subaru would have possibly perma died when he bit his tongue. Echidna said earlier that if someone dies in her world they would become “braindead”. Thats why when Subaru bit his tongue Echidna said “ah, that is an interesting choice Natsuki Subaru.” he was committing real suicide, he genuinely wanted to die and give up, and he knew this.

If you guys ever want to find out everything we missed in the anime... And i mean everything that was left out not that we didn't catch, for example why the witches didn't react to Satella coming in to the party (cause in the novel they did react and they did explain why none of them did anything about it, the anime just skipped it)... The AniNews channel in youtube made a video about what was missing in each episode... Each of them had different reasons and they did say a few things about it... An example of this is... Echidna did not attack because the moment She did... it would mean that she would be leaving her back exposed to Sekhmet and Typhon... And they would for sure attack Echidna if she gave them a chance... there was a very delicate balance of power at play at the moment... Each witch had her own reasoning behind everything... In the end they did end up inf a bigger fight than what was shown in the anime, even Gluttony got off the coffin to fight...
Envy is the strongest witch. Sloth is second strongest. Envy cake take down all the other 6 at once and Sloth can take down all the other 5 except Envy at once.
They left lots of important stuff from the anime but the Satella and the witch of envy are different "personalities" bit is the only thing I think it's unnecessary to bring up. In the novels Echidna herself says that unlike the other witches she doesn't agree with them being different people, Satella forming the witch of envy identity was due to incompatibility with the sins and she was supposed to be very kind and virtuous, but on the flip side re zero treats sins as inherent and not necessarily negative parts of everyone, while someone with none of them kind of needs to gain them to be more balanced, seems like it's less like the sins in Catholicism and more ancient Greek. So to me, since the other witches are all described(both in webnovel only chapters and I think in post arc 4 side stories) as being frozen in their personality before death unlike Echidna who isn't "dead" in the same way as them, they all love Satella the same as in life and can't reflect on how she acted/broke with the witch factor and whatever else. Echidna is both the more cynical, not exactly trustworthy and the least biased person when it comes to Satella. Since I think the meaning to Satella is that people have to be allowed to grow and be flawed as people, I'm still never sure whether to accept Echidna's view that all of her actions are things Satella was capable of or not(btw the witches who do see the witch as distinct also said it was Satella who killed them and swallowed the world... It's really not supposed to be "Satella is flawless and perfect, witch of envy evil" even then). So yes, considering Tappei deliberately makes Satella NOT the good side of the evil witch who did nothing wrong I think people make it further from the truth to tell you they're different identities without telling you everything else the witches said. Other useful information is that Subaru here is breaking down partly because the sudden appearance of memories and love for Satella incomporably greater than any love he feels for anyone else when he shouldn't have either is making him afraid Satella is changing him fundamentally as a person. We still don't know why he has these memories and feelings but they usually appear in a "Subaru" when he dies and is in a shadowy realm together with Satella, this Subaru is basically obsessed with Satella and described as very sinful. Personally I don't see that as the real Subaru though, there are chapters in arc 6 which support my theories but I'll just say I don't believe in any time loop or Subaru=Flügel and Satella=Emilia theories.
For me at this point, either Satella is from the future as you said, or Subaru spent a long time with her that was reset and/or that he forgot, like how he didn't remember his initial meeting with Echidna at the start of this Arc.
With roswaals motivations. Remember that he said he wanted Subaru to become like him in episode 11. And now he says he wants Subaru to only prioritize one thing. This is a small hint towards his motive, and why he’s so driven. Especially since he’s been around for 400 years
Sattella is totally relative to Emilia. but idk yet if is her mom, clone or past herself. but subaru choose her because that is envy route. The autor wrote other routes based in each sin and decision that he needed to make. Greed route is he choosen Echdina way.
It's always funny when people come to this part and say that Subaru didn't ask for any of this when, honestly, he kind of did. Echidna even explains earlier that it's Subaru's own desire to save everyone - he doesn't have to do all of this, he doesn't have to suffer in this unique way, that's his choice. If he had run off somewhere else instead of getting involved with Emilia when no one asked him to (and in fact tried to dissuade him from doing so) he would be fine, able to live happily with Return by Death as assurance that his life won't be cut short early. Subaru literally forced himself into all of this even from the very beginning (except for course, being brought into the world in the first place), even while the people he was trying to ingratiate himself with gave off strong vibes that he shouldn't have been around. So no, this actually on Subaru, his use of the power causes his suffering, not the power itself. Even not being able to talk about the power is arguably for the best. Not implying that's being done for altruistic reasons, but just looking at it realistically the more people that know about the ability the more dangerous the world becomes for Subaru and the people around him. Anyway, this video is relatively old, I'm just generally ranting cause I'm bored and it was on my mind lol
On the note of split Satella. The witch of envy “consumed” the other witches. She likely consumed their witch factors, aka powers, that give them authorities (such as sloths unseen hand) And went crazy. Her spirit and body basically seems to have split. Her body (aka the witch of envy) that was crazy basically destroyed half the world and got sealed. Whereas her soul and original personality (Satella) was somehow placed in the tea party with the rest of the witches.
This is fundamentally wrong. The way Subaru finds out Satella killed them is, after the witches explain that Satella and the witch of envy are different identities, they then SPECIFICALLY say, no it wasn't the witch of envy who killed us but Satella. They do the literal opposite of distinguishing Satella as the good one and the witch as evil. The perfect vs evil alter is a stereotype and trope which appears in the majority of stories about people with two alters, Satella is not that, she is deliberately spoken of as having done bad things herself(in fact I'm pretty sure the webnovel had the other witches say it was her who destroyed half the world while still being pro Satella and averse to the witch, it was supposed to be confusing and Echidna also opposed them entirely by thinking there's no reason to separate the witch as someone else and just blaming Satella entirely, I'd revisit it but sometimes stuff being cut from the webnovel in the light novel should be accepted as not really cannon). Anyway, it's misinformation which takes away from the original work and so I'm complaining.
