Where have I heard the dulcet tones of this narrator’s beautiful voice before? 😉 Happy New Year to you, the fam, and all the lads!
It's Sargon of Akkad!
Yes, Carl Benjamin
I love how Castilian Spanish lords get incorporated into their lordly lineages at the end. Wow.
Sargon narrating awesome
As soon as i saw the title of this video i thought "Oooh i hope this is Carl narrating!"
Oh boy... That's one for the download folder on my phone to make my cardio workout epic.
Godt nytt år. Hedning.
I like all the R & D the framer and the shaper did.
Happy New Year and thank you for this gang! 🙏
Thus the toad was defeated. Truly 'twas a fiery contest.
Wow more than 4 hours, awesome!
Heard about this in Pastwatch by Orson Scott Card, great book that you might wanna pick up if you like the topic. It's about people in the future that can observe the past and it center on Christopher Columbus.
What is the name of the book?

Brave New Year, Carl!
I read this in college. Good times.
Starting 2024 on the right foot
Happy New Year to you.
What a wonderful surprise.
I gotta say, I really love the content of this channel. Really good to see a collection of ancient and historical literature.
But, and what I say is by no means a slight or meant as a snarky or insulting comment, and I will continue to listen to the works you put up on this channel;
But Carl does not have an enjoyable reading voice to listen to.
I don't know if it's the tamber or the badly placed inflection on sentence endings, or a combination of things.
But there is a noticeable "reading the words on the page" sound to it,
like a teacher with a child's book, with improper pauses and a start-stop off-rythme to the flow so kids can follow along.
Again, I am not saying this to be flippant or combative, I'm just simply pointing out a noticable flaw in the content.
I really enjoy channels like "Voices of the Past" and "Legendary Lore" or "Fall of Civilizations". They would be excellent examples to learn and improve from.
Either way, thanks for sharing this mass if works and it's really good stuff to get to hear.
Happy New Year.
Next read "Secret Destiny of America" by 33° Manley P. Hall shudder at the implications.
Thankyou for this video
Happy new year🎉🎉
Happy New Year 🎉🥄☕
Happy New Year, everyone. I hope you all have an even more prosperous year 🥂
Great videos
Some of the themes here have a lot of similarity to other creation myths.
It all comes from the same well. Differences arise overtime, but our blood remembers.
Are there any more Sargon readings on this channel?
some of these stories are actually hilarious
"We provide for them by removing worms from teeth, which is our profession."
I got a real kick out of how many times they had to specify that there were, in fact, four hundred of those boys
@@graceinasweater9169 its a mnemonic formula for oral storytelling. Homer uses them a lot, rosy-fingered dawn, wine-dark sea, grey eyed Athena, Achilles swift of foot etc.
It's nice to see Sargon having time to engage in side projects now that he's retired
Happy new year 🎉
4 hrs 21 min? I'm going for it
Happy new year boys
Well hello there.
crushing ball court = threshing floor?
Carl, is that you?
Great to see Sargon/Carl doing this again. The names are probably butchered though.
what? no that's crazy /s
@@leojohn1615 what?
Is this Carl Benjamin?
Yes its sargon.
He doesnt upload to this channel mutch.
painful pronunciation, but worth it.
these pronunciations make this version completely unlistenable. it's clear not even an attempt was made to learn them, which is tragic because they really aren't even that hard for English speakers.
Exactly....
When I saw the title I thought it was from something in Latin like "the people's vuh"
Make hooley hooley and hawly hawkey on your faces!
Aslong as you dont say lakuna over and over again.

Veracocha Christ was before the New Testament
When did our self perception and even our hope become so pitifully negative? I can't help but compare to the myths of these primitives and find our narrative lacking in purpose and confidence. How long can you live without a heart?
The popul who? - I'll get my coat...
The narrator didn't even bother to learn how to pronounce any of the names 😂
He will even butcher the languages closest to English.
Zipyercock and Zmoocane
These native American languages are hard. if you read them you will never get it right unless you hear a native pronounce it. they have sounds that are not super hard to pronounce. but there is no equivalent in the Latin alphabet.
@@belstar1128 Nahuatl is certainly challenging to pronounce but if this guy has at least listened to the correct pronunciation a little before attempting this, it would have at least sounded better than just winging it.
Those are the easier words. Try saying Huitzilopochtli 😅@@moon_yeka
It's like Satan took the Biblical account of creation and just made himself the main character instead of God, lol...
What
Lmao
Carl Benjamin strikes again
