The orange container is a ceramic piece. I remember it as I was growing up. The lady that ran our ceramic shop used it to hold brushes & ceramic carving tools. It could be used for all kinds of things though.
I loved that black mailbox with the hooks. If I find one I want to put it in my kitchen and keep utensils in the top, and hang dish towels from the newspaper hooks
I made one of those orange ceramic things. I use mine for art paint brushes. I guess you could also use it for knitting needles they weren’t too t Long.

I am doing this to try to quit smoking, and keeps me out of the thrift stores! Not sure if I can as my thumb likes to cramp. Many years of repetitive factory work.
