It's fairly different from mainstream music, even slightly different from most chip-tunes. It's interesting how so many different types of music are all clased as "chip tune", which sort of speaks to the format. It's a fertile ground for innovation. Thank you a ton for you comment! That's very encouraging to hear. Music channels are in general not easy to get very large since it's nearly always a niche crowd you're looking for.
