So you would say Wordly Wise is mostly writing focused ? In a curriculum catalog I have it was in the spelling section and I wasn’t sure if it would be too much to do it with spelling you see.
It is vocabulary/reading comprehension/writing. While I really like Wordly Wise, I'm not going to use it until 4th grade for my daughter who is going into grade 3 next year too. By the time we do our Spelling You See and Bible Heroes, that is plenty. I like doing the grade 3 Wordly Wise in grade 4 (or parts of it), as then it can be more independent thing. :)
@@karlacanon2507 yes that makes sense! I think I'm going to try Easy Grammar and All About Spelling with my 3rd grader, and I did get the Bible Heroes to introduce maybe later in the school year. I'm going to start with Edcon Literature Guides which I just learned about recently, they look super fun! Will do All about Reading and Spelling You See with the 1st grader, really excited about that!
Hi! Do you also use Structure and Style from IEW for your 3rd grader? Or just Bible Heros? Also- would you use Structure and Style with All About Reading and Spelling? Thank you for all of your helpful videos!
Hello! In third and 4th grade I use Bible Heroes and All About Reading. I would not use Structure and Style with a child who is still using All About reading, because that would mean their reading level isn't where it would need to be for Structure and Style. That's why it's worked well for our family to do the Bible Heroes over two years, and Levels 3 and 4 of AAR in grades 3 and 4. The youngest I would recommend Structure and Style for Students Level A would be 5th grade, and only for a child who is reading well. I haven't used All About Spelling. I couldn't manage another subject that had to be mommy led so we doing things for spelling they can do independently. :)
