- This is my testimony. I am a born-again Christian that has been saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ. God has always been with me but he came to me in a way that I could no longer deny! Thank you God for bringing me back to you!

I had the exact opposite experience. I felt incomplete with religion and found my purpose when I left it. I feel more complete and happy now. I always had a better moral code than most of my religious counterparts because they always did bad stuff and used religion to repent and feel forgiven. I never did the bad stuff, and I have an even better level of morality now that I don't have a god to behave for. I feel better now that I do things out of the goodness of my heart and not for someone else or the fear of going to hell. My life has so much more purpose now that I feel like this is the only life I have and there is nothing after. But I'm glad you found something that makes you feel whole. Congrats!
Paige Thompson religion is definitely hard to understand. I like to think of what I do as a relationship with my creator. I don’t do anything out of fear, fear is not of God, I do them because i feel like God calls me to do the right thing. It feels right inside my soul.

The heart is deceiving. Basically, you decided to reject God in order to follow your own sense of righteousness. Blaming the other church goers is not an excuse for your own behavior.
Your purpose is nothing more than your desire to have an excuse to do the iniquities of what your heart desires without feeling guilty in the Holy Spirit.
Sorry for not sugar-coating it, but it is better for a former Christian to hear the truth you're familiar with and change his or her ways. Repent before it is too late.

I used to use the bible the same way; ask a question and then open my bible for an answer. I recently had discernment that I have been using the holy bible as a divination tool and repented. Divination=Occultism
