I bought one today :) took down 2 players in a buzzard and got out of a 5 star wanted level easy
One other important note...the tank costs $1.5 Million to unlock. However, once you unlock it...it's always unlocked. From that point, if you want to use the tank, Pegasus charges you $200 for delivery. If you're going to use the tank make kill enough people or a bounty to recover that $200. In other words, calling in a tank in a 4 or 5 person lobby is silly.

Yeah man just call Pegasus back and you can get a new one. Keep in mind though if you destroy too many things you will be labeled a "bad sport" and only play with other "bad sports", which is no fun at all.

I love going on tank rampages. Listening to kids whine in the headset is so damn funny. Lol
tanks are invincible. even passive mode doesn't help because you can still get ran over
In my opinion - the BEST defense to the tank is the PASSIVE MODE seen here at about the 3:45 or so mark in this video. !!!WARNING!!! passive mode can be beaten by running over the person. In fact, in a tank you just hit them and knock them down and then sit on top of them and they die. Passive mode works very well if there is some obstacle you can stand/duck behind. Just make sure youre not exposed to being rammed/run over.
Ok to blow up a tank here is how. 8 sticky bombs will do the trick. 4 RPG will do the trick. 4 Sticky bombs on back of engine, 2 RPG on back of engine. 5 sticky bombs planted let them drive over and boom. the last thing i heard is if you shoot where the person gets in on the front side off to the left then you can kill him too .
with RPG is more easy to take tank out

I use the attack chopper cuz the tanks cannon can't reach the heli at a range but I can still lock on with missiles:)
A couple notes -- As best as possible, keep your tank to 1 or 2 stars. Police helicopters spawn at 3 stars when you hit a police vehicle. At that point they draw cops like flies. So get your one or two kills...outrun the 1 or 2 star wanted level and then go on. --- Next, helicopters and planes are able to be killed with a tank (and it's spectacular) but you need the right distance and angle. --- Third, An indication of the tank's vulnerability is the black smoke from the rear vent. If you see black smoke coming out...your tank's health is going down. At a certain point you even start to get a beeping alarm. The faster the beep, the more critical the damage. --- As for the Bad Sport counter and personal vehicles...sometimes if tehy attack you, you don't the bad sport penalty. But as NerosCinema said...if you're going to blow up vehicles, do your best to identify whether it's a personal vehicle or a normal NPC vehicle.

I blew up 30 personal cars (I counted) and was not put in bad sport it just kept saying "Bad sport you blew up someone's personal vehicle" I think it's impossible to go into bad sport unless u glitch
I got killed nine times by a guy rampaging though the city . With plenty of precistance I got on the tank tried to pull the guy out .didnt work but I sticky bombed the hell out of it and blew it up just as I died. Instant bounty. Haha

Heavy Sniper can also kill a tank and so can a few RPG hits, it is NOT so overpowered as people might think. It still requires some level of skill and strategy.

I hate when I find other people and i'm minding my own business, and people chase me and shoot me for no reason and try to take my Pimp Muscle Car. You think by now people would no that a lot of people set vehicle access to No-one or Crew only

I trolled a guy with that. i asked my friends to put their personal vehicles together on the same place and I lured him into our trap.
He killed me but destroyed 7 personal vehicles so he became a bad sport instantly.
If the tank is destroyed , will it respawn ?

that's where you're wrong I found many ways to destroy tanks using Jets sticky bombs rocket launchers there's loads of ways
You forgot to mention that another tank could easily destroy your tank and vice versa. Maybe also sticky bombs but I've never actually been destroyed by those yet.

Racing double parking, down the drain and dockyard to name a few races that pay you 13.600 dollars for a win with 4 player in total. I earned about 4 million and am level 105 with doing just races.
I became a bad sport withing 30 minutes with this tank. LOL
@siim944 yea if it gets destroyed you can call pegasus again and pay just 1000$ to get a new one.
I hate when when 20-30 ranks get tanks, that just pisses me off.

Everyone should just leave the game once a tank starts roaming around, that way they end up on their own bored shooting nothing.

I destroyed 2 with grenade launcher last night at level 70+.they may have been weakened ...must have died atleast 10 times doing it to two tanks in same map... helicopter was useless in my hands ...stickies on there path would also take one down.

The whole point of the game is destruction and the Bad Sport thing kinda goes against the purpose of the game, Rockstar is doing everything they can to push people into using stupid Microtransactions
I've been able to take out tanks with sticky bombs.

You can get the tank before level 70 bit you will need 1.5 million
Then everybody would be waiting outside your Apartment or Los Santos Customs waiting to blow you up, believe me it wouldn't be a good idea. What I do hate about the Good Sport/Bad Sport is you can be considered a bad sport from simply defending yourself from people attacking you and accidentally blowing up their personal vehicle

I don't like the whole "sport" thing. Its Grand Theft Auto. If I want to blow someone up with an RPG or tank I don't want to worry about becoming a bad sport. I really think Rockstar needs to get rid of the whole sport thing.

I had a personal tank before rank 70 in a glitch now it's patched so I think I have to be Lvl 70
Honestly it's not having a tank that makes you an ass it's how someone uses it, I have a tank and hardly ever go killing free roam, hell I never bother anyone, of all the shootouts I have been in they were because someone see me riding by them then they start to chase you so then I kick there ass, and continue to do so for the hell of it. but tanks are fun on missions VERY FUN!

I destroyed one yesterday, with sticky bombs and grenade launcher.
But they always flee and I try to kill them but I always destroy there car. I don't want my Sabre turbo or Akuma to get destroyed because someome got in my Grotti and drive it in the water
I've had mine for barely an hour and already im a bad sport lmfao but it was too worth it just too much fun now whenever someone mess wit me or my homegirl too much its over simple as that lol
People just drive into the tank on purpose to get you bad sport. Bullshit rockstar

200? bullcrap... i use the helicopter method and grab tanks out of military base :D its like 5000$ plan.. not 1.5M ... you are stupid
If you play online you don't take a t-rex crap out if the base with the cargo bob. They burn you before you spot a tank.
Btw i did not pay for the tank and i get it easily from any location without doing the snipe thing at the zancudo base.
