This is a 2130 and are fantastic machines that are still very common with councils and contractors. I have a two ransomes 2250 parkway machines that are used on our school contract. One of them is an old girl now 2002 and has 6000 hours under its belt but still works well and runs good.
Nice new bit of kit there it keep the golf greens looking good longs as the rabbit don't dig them up because I know from experience that barrel mower need to be on leave ground to cut properly any hope the family are well and look forward to seeing your next upload 🙂
Oh, you need to get an LED lightbar for the front of that ROP and get a couple small floods for down the sides so you can see where you mowed as well. Nothing fancy just full lighting. And as Matt pointed out any bumpwumps can cause trouble with the reels. Good to see em way off. I would also suggest a rifle rack and a pintle pipe. XD
I used to run a Toro 5 reel on a customers lawn. They had 20 acres of grass with a 50,000sqft home. Those reel mowers are absolutely the best cut if the reels are set right and sharp. My neighbour does the sharpening of them
@FarmerP awesome stuff, just have to get your self a feeler gauge so you can check the reel to bedknife. Best way to get some good stripes is by spending the day just burning them into the grass going over it heap of times up and down. Little bit of liquid iron helps to.
Ian loved my many years sat in the operating seat of a park way mower Ransomes mowers at there best the later models didn't come up to the same standard plenty of grease and keep her well adjusted and she'll do you we'll.
The newer versions rely on electronic hydraulic systems and to be honest the whole machines came down in standard to believe it or not make them competitive with competitors as they were seen by many as top end machines that retained there value if maintained well and were kept longer on a fleet instead of being replaced.
divit dean A four wheel greens mower ? I thought the ride on greens machines only had three wheels. I don’t have much to cut compared to a full size course, hence the smaller machine to deal with ours. ⛳️🙂👍
Not designed to follow contours,, no front rollers so dig in. Cylinders too big so won’t get a fine cut. It’s a municipal mower,, perfect for what you are doing with it. I sell Groundcare machines for a living so I hope I am right haha
Andrew John This one has the front roller set Andrew so it can do contours ok. It’s a seven blade cylinder and seems to cut the fairways just fine. This machine is not for cutting greens by the way, we will have a proper eleven blade a Toro or similar for that job, this is just a fairways and lawn mowing machine 👍🙂
Know nothin bout golf course keepin but is cuttin the grass that short at this time o year not a bit risky if u get a hard frost overnight Ian 🤔 good drone footage by the way 🚁🚁👍
Nice bit of drone footage in there mate! Guess that means you haven't crashed it yet!😉😂. I always prefer the commander mowers as you did 2/3 of a bigger pass. Oh and to throw my 2p in, lift the wings on tight turns, you'll save bending your arms lol.
There is a way with that drone to make it follow you so you don't actually have to control it I've seen other people do it on RUclips when they make it follow them around just an idea that all nice to have a different camera angle too
James moses I know it can do it James, I just wanted a go at doing it by hand. You will know when I have it sorted..... I will be mowing in straight lines again. 👍😄
It’s a shame your drone does not have some sort of follow me built in but i suppose that would be ££££. It’s quite relaxing watching someone else cut the grass just a shame it’s not mine 😂 your cutting
Looks like it was well maintained , and is it a Gas or Diesel engine? The ground speed looks like you was moving on pretty good . And a job well done on running 2 machines with out any accidents .
logpile 13 That was indeed the original plan. However Brexit has made the future of agriculture a bit less certain so I am compelled to seek alternative sources of income to help cushion what could be a tough ten years. I still have the option to graze it, the lambs are out there now.👍
Huh? What happenend to your old Husquvarna Mower? And please get Abbi to fly the drone. I can only imagine how tricky it is to mow the lawn and fly the drone at the same time!
Mark Figes Haha, I Intend to agree Mark. I will be fitting a box for her somewhere as long as I can make it safe. Other problem is the noise, I don’t want to damage her ears.🐶
James Williams Mrs P is not keen to be in front of the camera James. She has a very sensible and serious job that deals with local peoples problems, she does not want to detract too much from that by larking about with a daft farmer. Folks go to her for help, some of them in serious trouble, she is good at it and does not want any distractions. I am very proud of her.

That’s a sweet piece of gear. I’ve always wanted something like that

Prjndigo
I was thinking perhaps a GPMG mounted on the front bar.... That will sort the bunny Wunnies out . 👍😁

Awesome machine 👌🏻 close shave, the best a man can get 😝
cheechU38K
I don’t think I will try shaving 🤔or clipping my finger nails🤘🏼😬😄⛳️

I had heard much the same Graham, which is why I was glad to find this one. 👍

graham sellwood
I understand that new machines are under powered as well to meet new emissions standards.
Nice looks very clean Ian. Enjoy your new toy. 👍
S.A.B
I think the toy status will soon wear off and be replaced with a new one of tool 🙂⛳️
Nice tidy machine and it does a nice job for 12 years old very well looked after
Wolfpack0608
And I think a better tool than the newer ones as well.👍
Mr P I worked on a golf coarse for 20 years , we had a mower like that one it was a greens mower just for mowing the greens not the fairways,
divit dean
A four wheel greens mower ? I thought the ride on greens machines only had three wheels.
I don’t have much to cut compared to a full size course, hence the smaller machine to deal with ours. ⛳️🙂👍
Definitely wouldn’t use this type of cylinder mower anywhere near a golf course.....
Andrew John
I am intrigued to know why Andrew?

Paul F

Hi farmer p great mower but the only thing i would say is dont turn with mowing decks down it wont cut when you turn it will leave strips 👍
Stephen Jenkins
Thanks a Stephen, I noticed the bulls mains on the turns. Going a bit slower and taking it wider helps 👍
Great new intro got everybody in it 👍looks a great new bit of kit 👍
Antony farming
Thanks Antony. 👍
Awesome little machine
I love all your RUclips videos 👍
Now that's a precision mower, should make golfers happy!
The job looks good from here .
Reg Sparkes
The idea is to have it all looking nice before April 2020 if I can Reg. ⛳️👍
@@FarmerP So, it's now up to nature with help from you,..I think you'll be able to do it.
Small cab for it now to keep out the 'soft' weather and you will be set😁
Paddy Kelly
I can always sit on the Case Paddy..... If I must. 🙂

@@FarmerP nope cut year round on a links course usually once a week winter. Twice during summer. Greens daily.

Thank you. 👍
The drone shots really made the video and i look forward to nore in the future! In no time at all you'll be as good as tom pemberton with it😀
John lee
Maybe, by the year 2021 👍
Farmer P don’t crash as many though!
Young Farmer Will
🤞🏻Not on purpose....
Might have to practice straight lines to make the grass look perfect though 😆
Cubejam
Multi tasking and straight lines don’t make good bed fellows it seems 😄
My lines got a lot straighter once the drone was back in the box ⛳️👍
Great vid Farmer P by the way
Love yoir videos
ioan ward
Thank you Ioan.
Nice but of kit there Farmer P. Luv the drone footage, does the drone have a follow you function?
125 SM
Yes it does, but I didn’t use it this time.
I Would Love To Have machine like that
Is there a mode where it will follow you ?
Phil Gascoine
Yes Phil, plus a load more, I just need to fine tune my operation a bit.
Good machines they are
Mitchell Worrall
I think it’s the right tool for our job Mitchell.
A good surname by the way, My mother was a worrall. 👍
I used to use them to go and do all the school fields love it and thank you

The Mavic 2pro has a full follow me mode Austin, I just didn’t use it this time.
Nice bit of kit 👍👌out of interest how much did u pay for it
Tim the Ring
A fair price for a tidy bit of machinery Tim.
Multitasking. It is not bad first practice round. Keep straight lines.
Looks like it was well maintained , and is it a Gas or Diesel engine? The ground speed looks like you was moving on pretty good . And a job well done on running 2 machines with out any accidents .
William Greenway
It’s a four cylinder kubota diesel motor William.
Tidy job Farmer P for the first time out.
the ransome arnt to bad mowers powered by kubota diesel engines
Where is your farm
We are in Gloucestershire Malcolm.
That be good when you get use to it
Phil Gascoine
It should do the job well Phil.
I thought those fields were for the livestock to munch on, not turned into a lawn.

@@FarmerP Some people collect postcards and well.... you collect mowers xD
Mr.Trueno I suppose with the farm grass cutters, I have a few. 🤔😁
Floating heads, they won't be great in longer grass.
Can you turn up the voulm on your recording some times its hard to hear you
Brendan White
I broke the mic Brendon, it’s held on with a bit of tape. New one ordered. 👍
🤔💡☝️I have the answer to ease the piloting two vehicles gps and auto steer the mower😁
