Havelock House, the historic headquarters of Ulster Television faces demolition. It's the last early regional station in the UK and Ireland and retains its original studios.

Absolutely lovely. My favourite UTV ident, with or without the 25th anniversary logo. I wasn't born until '91 but the simple little tune for this puts me at ease every time.
i really like the sound
This was first unveiled to viewers on 31 October 1980, which was the day 21 years of Ulster Television was celebrated.
UTV broadcast a live celebration gala from the Grand Opera House, Belfast, that evening. As a 12 year old at the time, I can't say it appealed much to me, but it was quite a feat for a small ITV to mount such an event - especially in that era in rhe centre of Belfast.
Halloween
I remembered seeing this when I was like 12
I wonder if anyone saved that prop for posterity.
It definitely was an object. I’ve seen it in a few promotional materials before.. wonder where it could be.
The Anglia Knight might have inspired this
UTV staff confirmed this in interviews.
@@jasejj 25th birthday to UTV
I concur
I remember this as a kid, weird as fuck
Just remade this ident. I have replaced the revolving cube with a picture of the Prague television tower which I photographed on holiday.ruclips.net/user/shortsSPJSaHao-QY?feature=share
