BIG UPs TO THE CAMERA MAN FOR NOT CUTTING THIS BLOCK WITH THE DRUM MAJORS GOING IN THE BAND ROOM!!!! THANK YOU FOR ROLLING ALL THE WAY TO THE DOORS CLOSING!!!!
I went to Southern University, and I thought we had the best band , but no one beats the precision of those drummers from NSU's band. The best marching in or out I've ever seen!!
I lived in walking distance and always heard the band growing up and eventually marched with them. I always thought you were down south. Nice to know you're in the area. Are you going to Houston for the BOTBS?
"The Tunnel || 2018 Norfolk State Spartan Legion" strange fiber installation doing that kind.....What a technology? What a magic... oops....What was it? Well, I don't tell you. Thaqnk you very much very respectfully.
Actually the past director who made this band great graduated from Tuskegee Institute, went on to Howard University and then University of Michigan, Mr Emery L Fears who is still alive. He created what you see in front of you, from the military precision Spartan style, to the strut they do through the percussion, the The Spartan Guards to MDFS adopting tonal drums. He is only one of 3 black college band directors inducted into the American Bandmasters Association with other two being Dr Foster and Julian White at FAMU. In other words they don't accept everybody. Paul Adams was an assistant under him back in the 70s. The band was already great, they only enhanced what he created. The blueprint and the foundation was there before they came.
Bruh Mr Spartan is #1 Captain Soul is #2 not mentioned Commander Groove Dr Feel Good(RIP) There will never be another and Lieutenant Funk. The history of drum majors that have been named at NSU but it has always been Mr Spartan and Captain Soul THE CAPED CRUSADERS.

Thank you for explaining its traditional ....
Doesn’t use a whistle. It’s how they roll to the next cadence. You watching the section leader or the whole band ?? Let them cook

PREEEEEEACH!
Linwood Lyons
Thank you again Double LL - Horny Horn !!!!
Southern people always trying to claim stuff...shut up and sit down somewhere
The head drummer just doing too much for me. If it is rehearsed, everyone should know their parts, too much movement.
Thats part of their traditions. They been doing that since I was at NSU 87 - 91.

im sorry but they drum majors look dumb. Just sayin.
