You need to listen to the boss, And it keeps happening over a period of time

BS set doesn't have Hero set without weapon, so it's better to farm BS gear

Just have 7,000,000 DPS on 1phase
No matter how good the specs are, if the DPS is low, the party can't go to phase 2
