Love the drive from Nelson to Castlegar area, drove it almost every week for about 2 yrs when i lived in the Castlegar area. I didn't like it in the winter time!
Remember, 80% of my loads were in Alberta and Saskatchewan, northern B.C. did have hills 😂 but it's not like you are in most cases.Bush hills are usually short and steep and most likely going in blind(not knowing what the road is like)
Am I right to assume that because of a pick up in Nelson to be delivered in Castlegar, that the Celgar sawmill that opened in 1961 or 1962, just forget which as I worked the summer of '61 in the construction of some of the sawmill must be closed as a functioning sawmill? Is the pulp mill still functioning? Been 12 years since I was near there taking some photos but did work there in the summers of '62 & '63.
I really enjoy your videos Juan a lot of the places you mentioned I know nothing about I’m from Southwest Pennsylvania, I know I drove for 45 years I retired in 2022 I miss it. I was a local tri axle dump truck driver were in a part of Pennsylvania lots of beautiful mountain areas are trucks are usually big cat or Cummins engine lots of horsepower. Keep up the great videos! God bless you and your family.😊
Hey Juan, what do you think of bicyclists? I'm sorry that I've only recently seen a few of your great vids, so have probably missed anything you had to say about bikes. I'm an avid cyclist and always appreciate the skill of pro truckers like yourself. Other motorists, not so much some times. Maybe you see some bad cyclists out there? Love your vids, man! Appreciate the hard work you guys do!!
Yea, there are good and bad cyclists out there. For the most part, we share the road quite nicely. It gets tricky when I have wide loads. I wish more Cyclists were highly visible, I've had some close calls. If I personally was biking out on a highway, I would have a mirror so I could see wide loads coming.
I used to, Sutco sold me to Trapline, well, Sutco sold their flat deck devision and some of us drivers were part of the deal, I had a few choices of what I wanted to do.

Camped in Castlebar last week on my butterfly trip. My annual visit to the old Rossland to Cascade hwy was not too productive.
From 14.15 to 14.21 there is an osprey nest on the right.
Ah yes, up on that pole, seems they have these poles for osprey all over the place
C is for Cookie!!!
My Kenworth had 475hp, but the speed limiter was set at 115km,safe travels

I have a little bit more power, but 500hp, while enough for a 53-footer, is underpowered for super b's
Good evening Juan. Im sick from Dr increasing my cholesterol meds. Hopefully I will be better tomorrow.
Oh yea, med changes suck
probably stands for Company
I wouldn't bet against it

So no, I was burning from Nelson to Kalesnikoff empty. As for Celgar and the pulp mill, they are still alive and well.

A mirror is mandatory bike equipment for me!
605 HP use the Hp don't abuse the engine.🙃
No, but 700hp and up could get tricky
