  • Determine the reaction at the supports A,B,D and F by neglect the thickness of the beam🤔❓
    In this video, we are showing you the simple way to determine the reaction on the beam members which have distribution loads in rectangular shape. In this problem, we know the beam is continuous. So this is example that we made for the first learner of Analysis of Statically Determinate Structures.

    ⚠️ There are error at Segment ABC. Please check at :
    Sigma of Moment at A, There is (2kN × 6m) × (6 ÷ 2) - (By × 4m) - (2kN×6m) = 0
    Hence, By = 6kN.
    Sigma of Force along Y axis, There is Ay + 6kN + 2kN - (2kN/m × 6m) = 0
    Hence, Ay = 4kN.

      Thats right...even after resolving for external reactions from seg CDE AND seg EF beam can be considered as whole and taking moments about A to get By
