The most watched sports channel in Serbia interviewed Jokic, asked him about what is his greatest sporting achievement, what do you think he answered. Not an NBA champion, not a silver medal at the Olympics. The answer was Duzianca. It is a local horse race, about which 99.9999 percent of people in Serbia have no idea, and maybe 10 people in the world know about it. This is a Malone moment - to have a chance of even winning one game this series he MUST put his best defenders on the court to full court press the Wolves from the tip Friday night. Don’t let them inbound the ball! Hound them for 94 feet on every possession! Make them WORK for every point like they did to you! But he’ll never do this, as he still doesn’t know what hit him. When the Wolves play Gobert, Jokic is still slow to defend the guy with the ball.

As a Nuggets fan, this are the reason why I think the nuggets are losing and none of them are Jokic's fault. Although he could do a little better.
1 The Wolves are bigger (Denver is usually bigger than most team and bullly teams with ISO in the post from Jokic, Gordon, Porter and even Jamal against other guards). Also this means that AG has to be on Kat on defense, wich forces a smaller and Injured KCP to be on Edwards.
2 The Wolves have a better bench (Denver's bench no longer has Green who was a mobile big that could space the floor shooting corner threes and Bruce Brown who was taller, a better defender, rebounder, floater shooter, spot up shooter and had better chemistry with Jokic than Reggie)
3 The referees are allowing excesive contact during this play off wich benefits the Wolves because they are a defensive minded team that play very physical. This affects the Nuggets because they can´t use their signatures dribble hand off or get separation from screening.
4 Kat is one of the few guys that can slow down Jokic (cause he is tall and mobile enough), plus he get boosted by having another big behind him and they are doubling Jokic with fast and big defenders like Edwards.
5 Jokic pass to the 45 cutter of double teams are elite, but gets nullified because the cutters like Jamal, Porter, Braun, Watson and Reggie instead of shooting a floater are being blocked by one or two bigs under the rim.
6 Jokic pass to the baseline cutter (Gordon) is either not available due to Wolves size or is nullified by the second big and alite rotation from big perimeter defenders.
7 Jokic skip passes to shooters out of the PnR or from the post are beeing mishandled by shooters who are either passing the shots to attack the close out but are being met by shot blockers at the rim (Porter, Murray, KCP, Braun) or guys that shoot them but poorly (Gordon, Reggie, Watson). Holiday has been the only one that has actually shoot almost every chance and made them.
8 Jamal. KCP and Reggie are clearly Injured. Nuggets are a short handed team with no one from the bench with offensive power. An injury to the starters always meant no more title aspirations.
9 Jamal injury ruins the Jokic PnR wich is the most valuable play from the Nuggets, ruins him bullying Conley in the post, plus ruins Jamal scoring overall who should be the best or second best scoring player on the team. Also he has elite perimeters defenders on him (McDaniels, NWA).
10 Naz Reed ability to make threes and get free throws attacking the rim make their offense elite. The first game was even until the Wolves put Reed in due to Kat foul troubles hitting 3 threes in a row and in this second game without Gobert he did the same shooting 5/6 in the first half wich explain the beat down in game 2. Gobert is more limited than Reed in perimeter defense, shooting and decision making.

He bares the responsibility as the best player in the world. However saying his legacy is on the line is somewhere I can’t go. He’s not beyond criticism no doubt but I can’t question his legacy after he finally got over the mountain top. He doesn't want to be recognized as the best player in the world. He's been trying to tell ya'll this. He likes basketball and he's really good at it. Why are you mad, Jason? Lol. The problem is you EXPECT an NBA player who is naturally dominant to act a certain way that is reassuring and/or pleasing to you. Not everyone is a Lebron, MJ, AE. He literally scored 32 pts in game 1. He has ONE terrible playoff game on a terrible night for the Nuggets in general and you're writing up a list of expectations for him as if he's going to watch this and say ooh let me get right on it because Jason Timpf said so!! He literally never said he was the best player in the world. GET OVER IT. Move on. Next series. Next.

I think Jokic doesn’t favor playing with younger players and prefers veterans, especially in the post season. His patience’s with Watson/Braun and others is low

He’s a center , with 0 perimeter help right now. y’all want him to rebound , bring it up pass to himself , repost get doubled pass back to himself then score ? this dude is basically saying take the ball and go score just play 1-5 joker 😂

Jokić isn't the same since Dejan Milojević died. Last good game he had was few days before vs GSW when he hit that half court 3.

@@blackmanwithcomputer It is fine to have different opinions. And i do watch him, i stay up, here in Srbija, just to watch Denver. I don't watch other games.

That is weird. If you are going to hold the best player in the league to that standart, why dont you do the same with LeBron, who calls himself the GOAT when He has being fell short, under performe and even chocke in the NBA final, playing with 2 others hall of game and yet....

The best player in this series is Ant by far. This is the first time in two post seasons Jokic isnt playing a play in team led by senior citizens in the playoffs and you can see what happens when high level defense is played on him.

Jokic literally beat Ant and the Wolves last year in the playoffs.
