Great stuff Terry. The Eureka Stockade rebellion and eureka flag are such a significant part of Australian history. The miners license issue changed the history of Australian politics.
Kind of feels like history replaying in terms of the elite rich having too much power over workers ,constant surveillance, etc.Same themes between have and have nots except there are differant tools and weapons at their disposal these days.
Ask the young folks about this part of Australian history. I'm well out of school now but I'm sure it wasn't in the curriculum When I was sitting round there. -mate from the tablelands
🪄🚥this song takes on a new and even more significant feeling/emotional level as we again have to fight to Keep our Liberties that previous generations fought soo hard to get for Us All in Australia..raise your arms for Freedom cos once they are removed..their gone..and so is lifestyles choices and Freedom..🤯🪄🚥🙏🎀🌻
We have to work harder to regain our flag those of us who to this day who are following the family tradition of working in the mines along with past and present Diggers do not need the Far Far Right using it as an emblem for their Fascist cause they have no idea of its true meaning needs to go over union jack with just the edges of the Red White & Blue show so we always remember that we won out in the end. Would have preferred to do that with the Aboriginal flag but due to a clothing factory owning copyright no longer possible.
Do u know that in Aus it is ilegal to fly the Eureka flag but legal to fly the Nazi flag? 1854 The year Ned Kelly was born. no connection of course.
