i dont really understand, but this bigbang performance on mama is the best mama's show ever. mama is actually getting bored trough the year, and i am here to refresh my mind with this performance. this bigbang performance was so epic, and i think noone can beat them. this performance will never get old.
This is the most memorable MAMA for me. It was approximately 4 years ago when I was totally dumbfounded, when GD suddenly became T.O.P, when Daesung turned out to be one of the dancers, when I heard Taeyang rapped for the first time, when Seungri threw his Joker mask to reveal where he was all along, and when GD emerged and gathered with all of them. I felt ecstatic and screamed all the way. And became a V.I.P from then on. The most regrettable thing is the fact that I wasn't there to watch them live.

Almost 8 years have passed since this MAMA performance, but BIGBANG is still the best artists I've ever seen in K-Pop industry. No other groups ever surpassed this level of excitement and satisfaction they made me feel everytime I watch their performances. Now I'm kinda tearing up because I miss them so much...
Elif Kilic I agree with you that BB stages are some of the best stages ever, but don't forget that they started as "coordinated clones" as well. It's only after a certain amount of fame and success (& talent ofc) that you can pull this off and still have an enthusiastic audience. And Big Bang perfected this kind of enjoyable stage for both them and the audience. I just hope that the newer groups which aren't from one of the big 3 will start this kind of performances, too, as soon as they have enough support and confidence :) (because the big 3 artists seem to have distinct styles which they stick to)
***** i didn't say they weren't outstanding performers already before their big success, neither that fame made them good. i was just stating that BB started off with more choreographed dances, too and that i have hope (and in some cases trust) that some of the new groups will start showing their spontaneous selves in future stages as well and not stay human machines forever. imo being able to follow a choreography perfectly is the base for becoming a good performer. everything else you can do on the spot and like BB in emergencies will be what makes you an outstanding performer. (And i couldn't agree more on your point with the music that has to be your own- BB and BTS aren't my bias groups for no reason! )

Almost 8 years have passed since this MAMA performance, but BIGBANG is still the best artists I've ever seen in K-Pop industry. No other groups ever surpassed this level of excitement and satisfaction they made me feel everytime I watch their performances. Now I'm kinda tearing up because I miss them so much...

Elif Kilic I agree with you that BB stages are some of the best stages ever, but don't forget that they started as "coordinated clones" as well. It's only after a certain amount of fame and success (& talent ofc) that you can pull this off and still have an enthusiastic audience.
And Big Bang perfected this kind of enjoyable stage for both them and the audience.
I just hope that the newer groups which aren't from one of the big 3 will start this kind of performances, too, as soon as they have enough support and confidence :) (because the big 3 artists seem to have distinct styles which they stick to)
***** i didn't say they weren't outstanding performers already before their big success, neither that fame made them good. i was just stating that BB started off with more choreographed dances, too and that i have hope (and in some cases trust) that some of the new groups will start showing their spontaneous selves in future stages as well and not stay human machines forever.
imo being able to follow a choreography perfectly is the base for becoming a good performer. everything else you can do on the spot and like BB in emergencies will be what makes you an outstanding performer.
(And i couldn't agree more on your point with the music that has to be your own- BB and BTS aren't my bias groups for no reason! )

You don’t have to like BigBang to understand how they changed the game for all of current KPOP. BigBang, Shinee, SNSD, 2NE1, really all of the second generation. They paved the way for KPOP to become internationally accepted and appreciated. I pray new KPOP fans grow to appreciate these roots. Although Shinees recent comebacks will make damn sure of that! As well as Taeyeon from SNSD and 2pm.
