Thank you for all the information. I’ve been wearing wigs for awhile and I’ve always had the wigmaker wash it but you’ve given me the information to do it myself. Wish me luck!
Great information! I have been wearing wigs for many years, always hand tied. Just received my first closed wefted wig. I didn’t realize how the wefts are like a stair step effect when using a comb…so glad you mentioned it, now I know this is the norm for close wefted wigs this will take some getting use to.
Thank you for letting me know you got benefit from the video, I never really post videos of this length and wasn't sure if anyone would really watch it, but I think washing is one of the scarier parts of wearing wigs for women, the care of the piece, understanding certain aspects and dynamics, and the video was actually cut down from 1 hr and 45 min lol. I cut out as much as I could but felt to those that needed this, literally step by step process and some side commentary along the way of FYI's in wig land, including discussing check your lace fronts when buying, it might help someone in this process, so I was happy if it was even useful for one person, so thank you for letting me know. As someone who only wore fully hand tied wigs for over a decade, the closed wefted was an adjustment (and definitely the lace tops are new for me) Even even just brushing my wig was an adjustment when doing so on closed wefted if you are used to hand tied,, so just learning how to work with it a bit differently, as with anything we adjust but helps to know when yes things are the norm and perhaps it isn't just us :) ❤

I washed mine on a Styrofoam head I feels like it supports the delicate areas while I wash the hair.
Are you able to share which brand this is? I wear Follea, but I don’t recognize this piece as their closed-wefted Rene? She and you are beautiful!🎉
Thank you, It's from Dini Wigs (in New York) 💕
I love it! Thanks so much!❤
