In the 24 years that I've been composing music and having had to learn how to use every single daw in existence, this is truly something I've never seen before. You guys created something truly unique...in a good way too. It's simple and silly, yet complex and genius. To create a DAW for RPGers is just brilliant. You guys really need to amp up your marketing campaigns for this product. If you made this DAW open source, or at least a free version of it for Linux, game developers on Github would go bananas.
I know it may seem counterintuitive to give your software away for free. But it's the best marketing plan. Give your DAW away for free, make it safe, secure, and open source, and that will attract a crap load of people. Those people are going to spread the word about your product to the entire gaming community. You can then charge your normal fee for Windows and Apple users to be your main sources of income.
In fact, I would even offer the option for affiliate commissions to spread the word even faster. Plus it's free marketing of your product. Instead of wasting your money on targeted advertising, you can get even better marketing from affiliates at a cheaper rate and still make profit from your product. For every sale an affiliate makes through their link, they get a set commission.
For example: Let's say your DAW is currently set at 29.99. You can jack your price up to 59.99 and offer your affiliates a 50% commission. This way, you get the original amount you initially set, and you get to pay your affiliates without spending any money from your revenue. It's literally free marketing and advertising of your product.
Or, you can waste your time and money on Google or social media with no guarantee's of visits or sales.
But I do love your DAW. I think it would be a huge hit if marketed to the right audience...especially now that we're in the age of NFT's.
