    “A few days in - had you showered by then? Emm, unclear”. THIS! I can sooo relate to this.
    I’m having my first baby in March 22. I’m so nervous about how it will go - got an appointment with a service that looks after mums when they give birth and have had psychological issues in the past. The first thing that goes out of the window for me is personal hygiene like showering and I’m 100% sure this is going to be a massive issue when my little lady comes. Thanks for normalising this even for mums, who aren’t struggling before baby comes.

    Just found your channel. Christine's story was very similar to mine and the first time I watched this I burst out crying since my son was about 8 months old at the time and the trauma was still pretty fresh. You calling this a nightmare felt really validating for me, thank you.

    Loved this! Would love a video on the steps of introducing baby to foods. My 4 month old was cleared to have rice cereal and oatmeal (I believe) but honestly don’t know where to begin!

    I watched this one for entertainment but it actually got me thinking about epidurals in another way! I’m 31 weeks and thinking about what I want to do. I guess a point in favor for an epidural is that if we turn to c-section, that’s already in place. Still not sure what I want but lots to think about!

    I just had my baby on Boxing Day and had a c section under general anaesthetic and when she was crying about waking up afterwards I really felt it. I honestly have some PTSD over it and it’s so great to hear someone else with this story because it feels like no one understands.

    wondering as providers to both mom and babe, how often do you see placental abruption(this happened to me with my recent birth) I being in medical (PT) knew more about it than most but it was still traumatic, what are some of the causes you know of and how can it affect baby long term? so far happy healthy growing baby but just want to be sure to be on the look out for anything in the coming years to bring up with our great pediatrician. are there any long term issues for me down the road as well? still having a rough healing process after the emergency section just taking it a day at a time.

    Video suggestion: how to dress a baby. I’m trying to figure out what clothes I should get, but I don’t know about what’s appropriate for each weather situation. I look for guides online, but they’re primarily by the stores, so I don’t trust them lol

    It's great seeing you guys validate how traumatic and difficult it is for Christine! The other girls did not allow her room to make amends for her past. Fans also trashed her, but honestly I feel that she is going through so much as a mom and yet she is still out there filming. I didn't like her in past seasons, but for this season I really feel for her. Granted she has a glam team to make her look good and all that, but giving birth and feeding a newborn is hard

    • @TheDoctorsBjorkman
      @TheDoctorsBjorkman  2 года назад +1

      Giving birth is SO HARD. And while Christine certainly has a flair for the traumatic, it sounds like she legit had a traumatic birth and my heart goes out to all mamas that experience that. ❤️

    Curious if walking up the stairs holding a baby is recommended a few days after a C Section? I noticed Christine does that in the video, and kinda hoped for a commentary there!

    • @corik1065
      @corik1065 2 года назад +1

      I had a c section and it is allowed but you are told to keep it to an absolute minimum and also I’m sorry but I wasn’t walking that gracefully let alone going up and down stairs holding a baby IN HEELS “a few days” after having a c section. More power to her but I feel like this may have been more than just A few days

    Hi! Thank you for taking the time to create these videos! I have learned so much. Quick question about the booster vaccine and first trimester. I am 6 weeks pregnant and worried about the potential for high fever if I get the booster vaccine during my first trimester. Is there any evidence indicating that waiting (and quarintining😎) until 2nd trimester to get the booster (or any vaccine) shot could mitigate against potential harm from vaccine immune response fever? Thank you! (And as always, I plan to consult my OB😊)

      It’s one of my favs! Agree-I was like daaaaang that was a quick return to baseline. Every body is different I suppose, and good for her. But also good for all the mamas who still have a belly or haven’t showered or are rocking their grey sweatpants on the daily 🙋🏻‍♀️

      crochet kala I LOVE Selling Sunset but this is a reality show, very, very, very little is true. Often what we see is something that happened weeks ago but it is shown now for viewers' benefit. Please remember this when watching it, plus ladies on the show have a great number of resources (nutritionist, nannies, PT, beauty treatment) so it is so much easier for them to go back to looking like before pregnancy than your average mum deprived of sleep. I am just putting this out there so other mums don't feel bad for being normal lol.

    So I gave birth in October, was induced cause anomic fluids were low.
    After 46 hours of not dilating, tablets in the vagina and finally pitosin, I didn't get Epidural till after 36hrs. And for some reason it was barely effective.
    Then they said babies heart rate was low, so I was rushed for emergency C section, while the cutting started I was feeling the pains and started screaming on the table and I was knocked out and woke up and they said baby was in NICU, didn't see him till 24hrs later, I also was in ICU as my pressure spiked. So baby was introduced to bottle, no golden hour, nothing, I couldn't wait to run home with my baby.
    So post birth, baby refuse to suckle, so I was only pumping, for a month after birth, I barely ate, I was traumatized, anytime I remembered my expirence, I would start to cry, it wasn't baby blues or depression, it was trauma PTSD, the host didn't treat me well, I barely got a change of robe, till the day I gave birth, no one cared on hoe I felt so all of that made it difficult, thank God for my family who could only come one at a time cause of covid.
    So as dramatic as I would say I get it.
    Thank you for sharing, it helps to see I'm not alone.
    Atleast now I look at my baby and see love and bond.

    I’m 36 weeks pregnant and have scoliosis, along with a 3rd degree congenital heart block. My OB/GYN and anesthesiologist have informed me numerous times that I might have to go under general anesthesia, which is my worst fear for delivery. Watching this absolutely broke my heart. That is so sad for any woman and not what any mama truly wants.
