today I lost a loved one, our story is described as in the lyrics of this song. if he knew, that I really love him sincerely, could he leave me like this? I can only pray to God that He will always take care of my love every step of his life. He’s my last love, really my last love.

I can hear by now (been following since Magnolia) a clear melodic signature starts to emerge in Laufey's songs. Kinda like you can recognize Sting (sorry, this is me favorite example of someone who's impossible to copy and who's instantly recognizable not just due to vocals, but melodies and harmonies).
