I can’t tell you how much this video means to me. I watch your beautiful videos because you frequent all of the places I used to before I became disabled and rarely leave my jungle cabin. This video at 25:35 minutes you filmed my daughters Mango Tree … Fawn. She passed at that Mango tree. So very very special I sent this video to all of her family. ThankYou beautiful Nastaran ❤😇🙏🏼🌸

@@dianealm743 Hello Diane and thank you for your heartfelt comment. My apologies for the late response. It really touched my heart to hear about the loss of your precious daughter and the significance of that mango tree. I walk by that tree so many times and never knew this about it. Thank you for explaining it. I’m sure your heart is still aching. Praying for peace for you. I appreciate you watching and I’m sending you warm hugs

Aloha, I'm not sure how I came across your page but I'm born and raised here on the big island. Sometimes you get so use to the daily motion of things. I watched your videos and you made me realize how beautiful this land is that I grew up on. Maybe I took things for granted and lost sight of the beauty along the way. Today I looked out of my front door and seen my own yard in a different view. The trees, the flowers, my huge green yard. Mama chickens running around with there babies. Lizards 🦎on my front porch. Today I noticed everything I usually over look daily because of you. Mahalo. And welcome to Hawaii neighbor 👋

When I was younger I was at the beach in my hometown, feeling like "whatever" it’s so boring, who cares really? And then this woman ran out onto the sand and screamed “It's the ocean!" I ask "what?" She says “I grew up in Colorado. I've never seen the ocean. My God! There's so much water" and then tears began to stream down her face and I thought "we're on the same beach, but mine is boring and hers is beautiful and if I have to choose ... i’d rather be in on her beach" as she walked away continuing to talk about palm trees and coconuts I thought about how easily time makes us numb to beauty and how I didn't want to live that way anymore. for the rest of my life, the beach was very different.

You summed up my exact feelings and thoughts. Growing up on this island it was thought of as small town small minded people. Everyone would say the world has so much more to be explored outside of this boring small island. So in my early 30s I moved thinking I'd explore. 4years later I was right back home. My heart was longing for that island life I was use to. This time around I have much more appreciation for this boring island life. Which doesn't seem boring at all anymore.

What a cool memory and I can see what a perspective it gave you. Thank you for sharing that. I have seen it myself when I asked my neighbor did you enjoy that sunset? Or look at these waves today, and she would say “what about it? I can see if our immediate surroundings lose their luster after a while for people, but it’s important to take a moment and appreciate it. Thank you for your comment as always. You made me smile

So beautiful! Your videos are very well done. I miss Hawai'i, I have not been back since right before covid. Government beach road is an interesting place. I don't tend to have any spiritual dogma that I believe in, but that place has plenty Mana. The Hawai'ians thought so too, those ancient trees are the progeny of trees that they cultivated hundreds of years ago. There are interesting things out that way relating to the Hawai'ians, a huge archaological site that can be seen on Google earth that is just north east of the Nanawale forest preserve. This can be seen as a giant grid of walls and structures. I've looked online and found recorded mention of it but so far have not found any robust studies. It would not surprise me if one of the structures is a Heiau, a place of important spiritual worship. At any rate, the region is magic.

Aloha to you. Has anyone ever told you you have a gift with your words? Something about your writing that really captivated me. Very interesting as I have always felt such connection and pull in this road. It’s silent with no outside noises but it’s almost like I can stories being told by some unseen force. So much mana there. It’s definitely not just a road. It only makes sense that there is more than the eyes can see. I have seen the lava rock walls and have heard they have a historical story to them. I’m always very respectful. Thank you so much for your comment and thank you for watching. Hope to hear from you in the next videos. Have a beautiful day

@@Nastaran.Battles Aloha to you, and thank you. I’m glad your channel is getting traction. It really brings me there and that’s a great feeling. If you get a chance, you should look up and check out the hike to Ha’ena, which is a super secluded beach that is a ways north of HPP. For transparency, I have not yet been there, but have seen many videos and the history of the place is very similar to that of the Wa’awa’a (government beach road) area. The Hawai’ians heavily cultivated the area all along the trail with mango, Ulu, Kukui nut and other fruiting trees, and the descendants of those trees are still all along the trail. It looks magical there!

Aloha Nastaran, this is certainly a beautiful video. The pigs getting in the paint was funny for sure. Since this was back in the first part of the year-your home and have had the finger fixed. How is it doing? I know you have pain a lot of the time- I’m so sorry that you have had to deal with that for so many years. I know you’re grateful to have the spirit of Hawaii to ease your pain and I’m grateful that it works for you🌴🌴🥰 I’m always amazed at all you are able to get done around your place. Not having several acres, just a nice large lot is certainly nice as things do get overgrown there so quickly. As usual I enjoy the time with you and the views so much. Again, I hope all is well with the hand and all is well back in San Diego. Mahalo, Nastaran. PS- I go for a soak every Tuesday or Wednesday at Chozus tea and gardens in Ashland for a soak. While I was there this last week I told a couple of ladies I met there about your channel! They were excited to visit it! They love the big island.

I had to look up the Chozu bath and garden website. Wow it looks beautiful to relax and to soak. Now is the hot soaking pool filled with mineral water or is it just regular water? What an interesting place. Do you also take time to have some tea as well? What type of tea do you like? Well next time you come to the big island you’re going to have to stop at Pohoiki again and soak a little bit as well. Also, thank you so much for sharing my video.
