To add context to the one where Penny said Sheldon was banished: He banished her from their apartment, strike 1 sending him a LOL cats email (violating his email policy) strike 2 for taking one of his onion rings strike 3 for sitting in his spot and refusing to move. In the end Sheldon rescinded the strikes after she called his mom 😂
When it comes to best character interactions Sheldon and Penny are great. They start off annoying each other but grow in to a natural brother and sister relationship.
The laundry night clip was part of a war between Penny and Sheldon! You need to watch to the whole episode! It’s one of my all time favorites of the entire series! It’s Season 2 Episode 7 “The Panty Piñata”.
I think out of the main cast, or core main cast (we get more in later seasons), Sheldon has the funniest moments. IMO the best moments come from 1. Sheldon 2. Raj 3. Penny 4. Howard 5. Leonard With that said they all have amazing and hilarious moments. Leonard's are just as good as Sheldon's. In fact the moments between Sheldon and Leonard are the best, especially as you learn through Leonard's perspective how many odd things Sheldon does and why.
This show would not have made it without Penny.. just wouldn't. She was amazing and also like 22 yrs old when it started.. she was so young and held her own and made every scene happen.

I've got the whole series on DVD, too. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's my all-time favorite comedy, but it is my favorite of the 21st century.
