  • The Big Bang Theory Reaction is today's video! Hey everyone! Join me as I finish our journey through The Big Bang Theory today with The Series finale!
Mensa-fied best friends and roommates Leonard and Sheldon, physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology, may be able to tell everybody more than they want to know about quantum physics, but getting through most basic social situations, especially ones involving women, totally baffles them. How lucky, then, that babe-alicious waitress/aspiring actress Penny moves in next door. Frequently seen hanging out with Leonard and Sheldon are friends and fellow Caltech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. Will worlds collide? Does Einstein theorize in the woods?

When you get to the season two finale of Young Sheldon, remember that episode aired immediately after the Big Bang Theory series finale. Although not directly linked, that episode of Young Sheldon acted as a perfect epilogue to The Big Bang Theory! When those episodes aired, it was one of the most moving night's of television I can recall watching...

i love leonard’s one liner at the beginning of the final episode about how him and sheldon rebuilding the atom structure was the best 139 1/2 hours ever spent. it seems so random until u realize that’s the exact amount of hours it takes to binge the entire show from start to finish without stopping. it’s little things from that to penny even wearing the same blue shirt she had on in the very first episode for that final shot that makes this conclusion so satisfying. i’ve enjoyed seeing you react to all of it this past year. ur gonna love young sheldon ❤

I almost instantly cried at her line of "...and then I killed him," even while watching with my mom in the same room (I do NOT like crying in front of other people! It's so cool we finally got to see their kids in the final episode, finally casting Halle and Michael as real characters, but it's unfortunate had to be the final episode. The reason they're so big is don't forget Halle is two and Michael is one now. This show might have one of the best endings, although it can be silly at times, it was really rewarding seeing Sheldon and Amy finally win a Nobel and all the characters celebrate.

Sheldon's character arc. From Season 1 to Season 12 has been the biggest and probably the best and most well written character development in any show I've ever seen. I loved this show. Especially with that departing shot of them just going back to normal and having a meal together it made me really wish they had continued the series as a whole.

He is still friends with them because they dont leave him. Giving 1 speech in the end becuase Amy made it clear you are a horrible person to your friends. @@user-wp8tb7ju5l I disagree with this. Season 1 Sheldon not only would not have imagined having a wife, but he also would not have considered "Love" to be part of his vocabulary not to mention casually proclaiming it to others, he may have realized it after it was pointed out, but he had a truly introspective moment and acknowledged the other people in his life instead of telling them to "Get Out" as he did before when Ramona Newitsky asked to share the credit of his accomplishments. There is a difference between him having zero feelings for others, and having to realize he's better because of them.

It's a proof of love. For Leonard and the unborn child she knew he would already love.

Now that you have finally finished the series Cody, I have a little story for you:
I remember this show being on all the time when I was a kid. It started when I was just 3 years old and it ended when I was turning 15. Funny thing is though that I had never really seen the show until the last 2 episodes. They were actually the first two episodes I saw from start to finish, making it a very bizarre first real impression for me. Knowing how it was going to end might have ruined it for some, but for me it just made me want to watch the show even more, so I could watch the entire journey that led up to that finale. Pre Covid I had seen a few episodes but I finally saw the whole thing during lockdown in 2020(during which time I discovered your channel actually).
Having been on this journey with you from start to finish has been an incredible experience, and I am so glad to finally have found someone who loves this show as much as I do.
This will not be the end for me watching your channel though. Even though you have already watched most of the movies I love, I will always look forward to see what you surprise me with next. Perhaps even something I have never seen before.
I understand you have started watching young Sheldon now right? If you have then I can’t wait to see your reaction to it. You will quickly realize just how interesting it is to follow a family that has to deal with someone like Sheldon. Knowing what he grew to be in this last episode might make it weird to go back to square one with him, but don’t see that as a downside. There are many unanswered questions from TBBT that will be answered in this show. Get ready for another comedy filled and emotionally wrecking show.
Once again, thank you so much Cody.❤️

Too bad the actress didn't want to continue, which I believe was the only reason they wrote her out (I mean, consider how relatively long she was part of the show after all (even though one tends to have forgotten about that by the end), indicating they were (!) planning to keep her permanently)...

I love hos this show ended. Imagine how we felt when watching it for the first time, knowing, and waiting for the last chapter the last week, that it would end there. The comedy, the laughs, and the way the show aged, it shows how good it was written. The first seasons are a little rough becauseof how much we as people changed, some jokes weren't funny at all nowadays, but believe me, this is and will always be the best show for me for a long while.
It encapsulates what FRIENDS was back in the 90s and early 2000's, and it grew bigger than that. And I can only hope another show as good as this one ever happens again.
Also, I really love the live audience, that's a thing that is dying on sitcoms, and it's a shame, having a live audience, and even showing that audience, is the best thing you can do to make us laugh too.

I genuinely think this is the most perfect ending to a show I've ever seen, it brings 12 seasons of story to a beautiful close. The recreation of the shot from the intro as the last scene is the perfect way to end the show. The detail of Penny wearing the exact same shirt she wore when she first met Leonard and Sheldon is really nice, despite being totally unnecessary, it just shows the care they put into every little thing. No wonder this is still one of my favourite shows of all time, even years later.

Y'know what screw it, let's get sappy for a moment.
People often underestimate how big a tv show is. 12 years is alot. When this show was in its first few seasons, I was still in the middle of high school. It was the show I referenced with my friends back then, it was the show people at school talked about, and for better or worse, everyone called me Sheldon, (not just in school even when I'd start a new job or course, people said I'm like Sheldon it's crazy it keeps happening). It's the show I watched at home with family as the seasons went on.
I know the internet likes to think this is the show to hate on (and sure it ain't perfect). But never underestimate how long twelve seasons of show is in your life. I remember what my life was during the early seasons and I remember watching the finale with my mom and sister, now as an adult. Tv shows are the craziest ways to track time but it works.

But your comment reminded me of how there was ONE reaction I had cried to that I had NOT cried to the original movie... and that was the ONLY time THAT happened. I usually can't cry to a RE-watch of ANYthing, but that reactor had made a comment that put extra thoughts in my head about a particular scene, so that's how that happened.

There was actually one thing that i never noticed about penny until the end of the show. She was the only character who was missing a surname. Her surname now is hoftstadter, but her maiden name? It was a tiny reveal, you wouldve needed sharp eyes to see it. I think it was somewhere in season 2 where she had a package delivered to her. On the package the label said ‘Penny Teller’. That was pennys surname.

I used to go to Sci-Fi conventions back in the 70's in Hollywood, Ca. I had a group of friends who were computer geeks, and we all stood in line 4 hours on the premiere date of Star Wars. There was no A New Hope added to the title back then. The special effects were epic because no one had ever done that before. I just had to share that. But this show was a throwback to a lost memory for me. I own all of the dvd's of this show and it is the funniest show of all of the comedies I have ever seen.
