And it should! The limitations drive me crazy but on the flip side, something like drambo is incredible!

You can even load multiple instances of Drambo into AUM, so multiples of 8 modular tracks inside AUM, sequenced by multiple euclidean sequencers, auv3 plugs on every channel, AUM acting as master clock and multitrack recorder, need I go on XD Obviously it's not needed to take it that far but the fact that you CAN do that if you wanted to just blows my mind

Korg Gadget is fun, gets pricey with add ons, but as a sketchpad it is really quite good.
I just wish they would put macOS on the iPad so I could load BW and PP on there.

Gadget gives you some somewhat useful synths but they are limited. Single oscillator specific tools. I don’t know but I couldn’t get sounds I wanted with them.
For it to be functional you gotta buy other things like Odyssei and 10+ plugins more, which are now integrated into newest Gadget. But it’s getting quite expensive this way.
Stock virtual devices are limited so that you buy all the others.. it’s a lot of money.
Still I find Koala + AUM much better workflow. Koala is OG
Having said that it’s also possible to mix and match Gadget synths into the mix as well.

Hey man! Completely unrelated, but I was wondering if maybe you could do a video on how you made your song blood cloak??? The production on that song is incredible and would love to see you break down some of the bass design in the track. Thanks man!

hello! I haven’t covered blood cloak but I’ve gone over phantoms my halftime masterclass. if you join the aeturnum membership you get access to all of them. other than that I’d check out the comprehensive guide to neurobass 3. Same process

I think of AUM like a BlueCat patchworks. I originally got the ipad for audiomodern auv3 so I can try to play in the very limited time I have and then shit just got crazy.

@@supermcfly100 it’s expensive compared to other apps but I think having an effect rack like that has a lot of use cases especially for foley related drums. You can build something similar in Drambo but I like the lineup here

Is that a Majoras Mask wallpaper on your phone??

Don’t forget full DAW packages, like Zenbeats, Cubasis etc. Not as practical on a phone, but definitely possible with a shift in mindset.
But an iPad really opens things up, even if it's only an iPad Mini. You get more screen real-estate, access to more apps e.g Beatmaker 3 and the addition of an iPad pencil takes things to another level still ;)

    • @Alckemy
      @Alckemy  Год назад +1

Yea I also agree the iPad has a wider array of options as far as plugins. I didn’t mention these daws because I don’t own them and also don’t think they’re quite there yet. You absolutely can make professional music now, it’d just be a major hassle to work like how I prefer

@@Alckemy Yeah...Definitely not quite a desktop experience, even though something like ZenBeats has feature-parity on multiple platforms.
What I would say is that if all i had in the world was an iPad, i would definitely be able to knock out full works with it. But for the moment, I find it similar to a hardware setup, in the sense that the medium allows for very different results than one might get on their main rig. Much more exploration, even if it only ends up as audio/sample-fodder on the desktop.
Either way, as someone who was dubbing between cassette players in the early 80's, and has made music through all the big tech shifts/trends since then, I find it effin' incredible what can be achieved with what I have in my pocket.
