Fake Peppino is still such an interesting guy, in his own unique little way. Once you get past how weird he looks and the body horror that comes with him, he's generally just kinda... There... Doing his own little thing, be that climbing up walls or trying to be just like Peppino when taking out the trash. But when he's in the mood to fight, it's an absolute mindfuck.
This reminds me of the super, super, super old idea of Pizza Tower being a horror game. Something that did not last but was techincally thought of for a while
GOD this is SO fucking cool........ love love LOVE the added detail of the initial mimic being near-perfect at a glance, but with a permanent grin - and seemingly only becoming hostile/transforming after the insinuation that he's a "fake". SO good...... both the voicework and the boards, for real!!!
I swear, some people make the faker too much of a goober. Others make him on par with an edgy teen's first creepypasta. BUT YOU, it's absolutely perfect. like a Ren and Stimpy gross-out scene kind of perfect. like a SpongeBob high detail close up kind of perfect

He's been locked up in a cage made to look like a Peppino's Pizzeria in order to be made docile by Pizzaface, because otherwise his untrained primal behavior would probably destroy the tower before Peppino could even get past The Noise.
I like how peppino is voiced here. Like canonically hes a middle aged man around 40 years old so that means even he has a slight of italian accent, his voice sounds like he is scared while having a low voice. Also wow, I do love how it builds the tension here especially at the end. Like if we encounter a doppleganger, it seems copying you first before it transforms into a distorted version of yourself which is scary.
I think this is the first time I’ve heard a natural sounding “shi-“ cutoff. Ever. Pretty much every time i hear it it comes off as forced and a bad attempt at being edgy, but this? That’s some quality voice acting, PLUS some quality art. Amazing job!!!
I just realised that as peppino started using using words like copy and fake the more fake peppino started loosing his imitation of him, almost like as fake peppino saw that peppino knew he was a fake his body started to react to the call-outs making him more obvious as a mimic. Buts that’s just me, it was all probably coincidental.
Came back to rewatch this. Big fan of how Peppino's humming the Pizza Time theme, but he's so anxious it sounds a lot like our favourite goofy guy's edition of that theme. But the general voice performance is amazing- So cool of you to have made your own horribly misshapen clone and put them through an agonising transformation to get those screams of pain right!
