it can be said Compton's experiment verified light has momentum, not "particle", given that even though photons (ENERGY _packets_) have momenta (thus eventually can "kick" electrons), are massless (don't interact with Higgs field)... in this sense, photons aren't "particles". This provided that particles are considered as energy packets that interact with Higgs' field ("why" some energy packets interact with Higgs' to then present some mass, remains a mistery - the only "certainty" is that this field "must" exists). On the other hand, if mass is something "physical" or just a prperty of an inability of one energy packet that interacts with Higgs' field no more can occupy after the same 3d space of other, is another mistery...
yet about the space "sail" would not be most due to EMF waves ("light") "pressure" but massful H, He and other nuclei and e- radially flowing through the solar system
yat about Taylor experiment, I think is doubtful it took as told, taking "months" for a _single_ energy packet (photon) be produced, provided the apparatus / tech by then to control the emitter energy excitation level - it would take _many_ years to get a "decent" pattern... (which in turn makes suspect any calculation on that)
Nobody of importance ever told you that photons are particles. We told you in high school that photons are quanta of energy. You simply weren't paying enough attention. ;-)
