Don’t care what anybody says. One song that brings a tear to most eyes. To think done in 75. Hits home even harder at 67. Just like Beatles Yesterday. We get older. Things change.
If you, this format and the technology existed back in the late 1970's; I'd be a freaking rock start. Absolutely doable, accurate and patient lessons. Thank you.
Hello everyone, Apologies for the delay on this song tutorial. As students of music, we all find struggles within the many details that go into creating a solid performance. For me, I found it very difficult to find my pitch on this track. I'm far from perfect on this recording, but leaps and bounds better than where I started yesterday morning. I tell you this because I want you all to work through these challenges, because that is how you will grow as musicians. What did you think of this lesson? What should I teach next? Submit your request at: swiftlessons.com/Request_a_Song
Hello, great lesson! quick question, you said you doubled the A after the intro, did you play all the strings in the picking pattern when you played A the second time? only sounds like you played a couple......thanks for your help, patience and great instructing!
Outstanding lesson! I’ve been working on this song for a long time, it means a lot to me. You are spot on with the picking pattern and you are the first male I’ve seen on You Tube sing it in key. Your singing helps me, as well as the guitar lesson, because I’ll be doing both. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! I subscribed! 😎👍
just want to say a big thank you for these lessons! 2 years ago now I found your stand by me tutorial and started guitar and here I am learning this song I thought would be impossible back in the day, thanks Marty, Australia
Thanks for figuring out how to make this digestible - other breakdowns I found were too advanced for my level! Capo and chords explained - 3:53 Double Am7 - 6:02
Thanks so much Grace, I really appreciate you taking the time to share some positive feedback. I’ll definitely keep the videos coming. Enjoy your progress!
Whenever I'm feelin a little down and I need my mood lifted, I come to this video and try to concentrate on the lesson, and end up giggling at the dog, but I've learned the song, it's Zen practice
I'm a drummer, and when I was in high school I directed our pep band, so it really messes with my head when you do a little 4-count at the beginning of the demonstration and then play at a completely different tempo! Just messing with you man, love the tutorials, you're the best guitar teacher on youtube, keep it up.
Recently found your awesome site! I learned how to play Georgia on my mind from your tutorial and I'm hoping to learn this one as well. I find this one a bit more challenging, but hey, what's life without challenges. Thanks so much for the lessons. Take care and stay safe!
I see that you have your Rott with you, as your best buddy. I have been truly blessed to have known 3 of them in my lifetime, they are one of the greatest pals that a man can have in this world. I appreciate the lessons, you are a fine teacher my friend.
Man Ive been playing writing performing since 74. You really did right by the original composers. In gonna look and see if you have some original stuff. Rockin
awesome job. Iv been watching your videos for a long time now and you always seem to pick great songs that not only sound awesome but are pretty easy to learn. keep it up.
Hey thanks Jorden, glad you're digging my song choices. Be sure to submit your request. If I receive the same suggestions over and over, I separate them out and choose from the best ones.
Hi Rob just wanted to thank you for your lesson. I was already working on Landslide since last year but I am glad you shoed also the last part of the melody. Now I will improve it a bit more thanks to you.😀
Hey Diana, that's great, so happy that you are making good use of these videos. Thanks for reaching out, let me know if you have any questions. Be well and enjoy your progress. -Rob
Thanks for your reply Rob. I also like to learn Big Love... that, I am straggling a bit but getting there too! And .. "Never going back again". With this one, I made more progress...still it took me about a year since I started practicing it. Wander if you could possibly make a lesson on these too? 😀
Hey Mary, thanks for taking the time to comment, I'm so glad you enjoyed this lesson and my performance. Many more lessons are on the way both here and via Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Be well and enjoy your practice. -Rob
Hi Rob 😁 Amazing Job. I'm trying to learn this tutorial right now. Landslide has always been a favorite of mine. I've watched some of your other vids before. Your passion for music makes watching you perform a delight. It inspires me to try harder to learn. At around the 1:55 mark of the video Im pretty sure I can hear a female voice singing with you. Is that a normal effect? I can hear it a little bit after that point too.
Excellent lesson as usual, love it! I'm a little confused on the D7/F# pattern you are explaining at the 9:09 - 9:25 time, seems the pattern is different (starts E -> B) than when you play at 9:45? Thanks for all your lessons awesome man!
Hi Rob and thank you so much for this lesson. I have been playing landslide for a little while and working on all the neat cool tricks you have included with this one. It will definitely take me a while…The other thing I have been doing is adding an extra pluck of the open G string at the end of each chord/measure…It seems to flow really well but I imagine it’s probably not the right way to do things??? What do you think?
Hey, so glad you enjoyed this, thanks for the positive feedback! Many more are on the way both here and via Patreon.com/swiftlessons. Feel free to drop me a request at swiftguitar.com/request. Be well and enjoy your practice! -Rob
I love the lesson. I was wondering if you could do any song by the Dirty Heads. I want to learn to play a song by them, because they're my favorite band. If you could, I would greatly appreciate it. You explain really well for me, and I learn well from you. Thanks, Nicholas Reedy
hey love your videos. Question: how are you getting copywrite rights to do this cover song on your RUclips channel, are you making money from your teaching videos covering popular copywrited songs? Thank you for your assistance
The reason I'm asking is because I really enjoyed your interpretation of the song more than the original and wanted to learn the bass line during one of the chords Btw I'm a huge fan and I really enjoyed this Lesson on fleetwood macs "landslide", I'm excited to see lessons to come :D
I SWEAR UP AND DOWN,NOBODY PLAYS THIS SONG THE SAME,NOBODY,I have seen 4 acoustic guitar players play this same song 4 different ways, none play it like you, and sing,so you got your own thing, but it sounds good..good voice too..🤣
I'm trying to learn how to play this song, for my dog ( child ) that passed away on 9-27-2019 and I was watching your vid and seen your dog I the background, a Rottweiler and my dog was a Rottweiler. Hard to watch and learn...
Hey, thank so much. For this lesson I am using a AKG Perception 220. amzn.to/1Upqq7m. This mic is very affordable and in my opinion, doesn't sound half bad!
I joined your patreon membership. I am having trouble getting into the app or your website to log in to download music tabs. The screen continues to blank out black and I get nothing. I want to download tabs to landslide. Can you help. Love your lessons! Thank you C bealll
Hey Camilee, are you sure that your support went through? Have you successfully made a login and password? This is not my website, I'm one of many creators that you can support via the site.
Hey William, no, I've taught a wide variety of lessons on this channel. While my main focus is on classic rock, folk, and blues, you are welcome to submit any request you like.
Haha, I was editing the video thinking "Oh shit, he's really going to town back there... maybe I should reshoot." I hope Otis's bath time wasn't too distracting haha. Glad you enjoyed the lesson. -Rob
Not funny, I'd never have noticed it if you hadn't said something... But once said it was too late, every time I tried to watch my eyes would slowly move to to the dog munching away... AND BUST OUT LAUGHING! Jackazz... :-) Nothin but Love.

Wow. I was 20 years old then. I’m 67 learning this song. Goes to show how music is timeless.
Don’t care what anybody says. One song that brings a tear to most eyes. To think done in 75. Hits home even harder at 67. Just like Beatles Yesterday. We get older. Things change.

Thanks Rob. Terrific lesson. Hope to be able to add the solo when I play this song. I’m sure it will take awhile, but will be worth it.

What is the name of your soundhole pick up?
Hey Rob I was wondering if you took down you're tutorial on "where did you sleep last night?" By leadbelly/nirvana?
The reason I'm asking is because I really enjoyed your interpretation of the song more than the original and wanted to learn the bass line during one of the chords
Btw I'm a huge fan and I really enjoyed this Lesson on fleetwood macs "landslide", I'm excited to see lessons to come :D

Very similar to Dylans Dont Think Twice.
Not sure if this is blasphemous, but I think you may have a better channel than Schwartz
I've never been shown that lick. Bawhahahahaha
It would be helpful (for me, anyway) if you called out the string numbers in addition to the letters. Just saying.
STEVE NICKS!
Just tell me where the tab is for Landslide . I’ve donated enough money.
Hey Craig, corresponding Patreon links are included at the bottom of my RUclips descriptions. Here’s a quick guide to navigating my library of content: www.patreon.com/posts/new-patron-how-22739310
Great tutorial Rob!
p.s. Lick N Riff's dogs are better behaved on camera than yours ;)
Hey thanks so much, and I apologize on Otis's behalf...
Play the song but substitute the word "Landslide" for "Dog Balls"! It works!!
pewdiepie vs tseries
Great lesson, thank you Rob!
Always a pleasure Tracy, thanks for the positive note. I’ll keep the lessons coming, both here and at Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Have fun! -Rob
