I love the way the hotel companies say they have measures in place to protect your privacy, yet they cannot keep the reservations data safe. Best to manage that situation first, before trying to put this tech into the market. My thoughts, keep the tech simple and unobtrusive. Wireless keys are already out there, voice activation for lights curtains, air conditioning should be a given, along with things like turning on the shower, bathwater and television. (including changing tv channels by voice) These don't need to collect personalised data.
Smart rooms in homes and/or hotels are an extremely stupid Idea because there must be microphones and cameras in the room to make the entire system work correctly. I don't want a romantic evening to be recorded in any way.
First don’t speak your commands but rather text them to your room ai. More privacy that way. Second don’t use Bluetooth key but a qr code picture on your phone and scan to your room door display aka same way how airplane tickets are scanned at the gate before boarding. Change QR codes every checkout.

It is pretty scary when you are sharing a private romantic evening in the room...And you know anything could be recorded.
