Backed by an outstanding band featuring guitarist extraordinaire Laura Chavez, in her JazzAscona 2023 debut, U.S. saxophonist, singer, songwriter, and buleswoman Vanessa Collier has been an absolute sensation. The two live performances made fans go wild with and earned her the AET MY CHOICE - Audience Award at JazzAscona 2023. Two concerts that had, in short, fully confirmed the value of this artist, who in recent years has racked up awards at the Blues Music Awards, winning, among other things, the title of “Horn Player of the Year” for 2 consecutive years (2019 and 2020) and that of “Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year” in 2022.
